Officially Official! is a Key Quest in Yo-kai Watch 2 that can be started by talking to Mr. Stickler inside of the Springdale Community Centre in Uptown Springdale. It is recommended to be completed around Level 6. Since it is a Key Quest, the player is forced to complete it to progress with the story.
Quest[]
The protagonist talks to Mr. Stickler who tells them he'll explain official battles to them. He asks them to battle him but must first have an 'official' team which conforms with the rules. This is having up to two S-Rank Yo-kai and up to two A-Rank Yo-kai on your team while ranks lower aren't restricted. Mr. Stickler then gives the Yo-kai Battle app.
Once your team is set, Mr. Stickler explains that Yo-kai are all set to level 60 in online battles and if a battle lasts too long, sudden death is set in. The player fights Mr. Sticklers team and once beaten, online battles are unlocked as well as the Medal Swap app and the quest is complete.

Pre quest[]
- Mr. Stickler at the Springdale Community Centre says his job is to explain "the official rules." What does that mean? We need to head to the community center to find out!
- Mr. Stickler will explain official battles at the Springdale Community Center.
During quest[]
- At the community center, Mr. Stickler told me about official battles. To get started, I need to select the official battle app on the Yo-kai Pad and choose Official Team to build my team!
Quest complete[]
- At the community center, Mr. Stickler let me try out official battles! If I want to take on other official opponents, all I need to do is open the Battle app and try some of the battle modes!
Guidance[]
- Go into your inventory and go to the Battle app.
- Choose Edit Official Teams.
- Make a team conforming to the rules (with automatically befriended Yo-kai you most likely won't have to worry about the S-rank and A-rank limit at this part of the game).
- Once a team is set, press Team Options and Save.
- Talk to Mr. Stickler again to fight him. Your automatically befriended Yo-kai should be strong enough to beat him.
Trivia[]
- As part of the battle rules, players can only have two S/A rank Yo-kai in their party. This is changed in the Oni Evolution Update/Psychic Specters so that players can include one Oni as part of their team as well.
- This quest unlocks the Battle and Medal Swap apps.
