Biology[]
Oh Bah Gah! is, as his name implies, an anthropomorphic burger made of meat, cheese, tomato, lettuce, some hidden pickles, mayonnaise and ketchup. He has thin arms with gloved hands, and equally thin legs wearing sneakers. He has two eyes - the left one bigger than the right one,- and a very long mouth.
In line with his inspiriting abilities, Oh Bah Gah! is very over-the-top with his emotions, easily overreacting to even the most simple of antics.
He makes his inspirited targets overreact to everything which happens to them, as if they're in placed center stage in the middle of a shocking event.

In the anime[]
Oh Bah Gah! appeared in EP111 where he makes Nate overreact when he correctly guessed the answer to a math problem, and suddenly imagines himself reading a card at an award ceremony. When he finds out about the burger Yo-kai, he summons Lie-in Heart to make him stop overreacting. On the walk home he starts to overreact about many things like Jibanyan trying to fight a truck and Komasan and Komajiro licking ice cream but Lie-in Heart's abilities successfully stops the overreactions from Nate. It was until his mother cut her finger and ordered pizza for dinner, which suddenly breaks Lie-in Heart's inspiriting power and makes Nate react in full force. Despite Nate accolading about the pizza in his imagination and being thankful about the minor injury, her mother gets angry at Nate.
In the manga[]
Etymology[]
- "Oh-burger" is a combination of "oh" - from his catchphrase "Oh my God!", implying that he is often easily startled and/or overreacts in many situations - and "burger" - because he has the body of a burger. It is possible that Oh-burger is also a play on the word "obaka" ("stupid").
- "Oh Bah Gah!" is a combination of interjections emulating being "surprised" while together phonetically sounding like the word "Burger." It may also be based on Oh Bah Gah!'s Japanese name, only with spaces and an added exclamation point.
- "Máster Chof" is a corruption and reference to the cooking program "Master Chef" with "Shock," implying surprise.
- "Esagerhamburger" is a combination of "esagerare" (to exagerate) and "hamburger."
- "Big O' Max" is a corruption of "Big Mac" with the interjection "Oh" and "Maximum" (Max) implying surprise.
- "HAMMERBURGER" is a portmanteau of "Wundernehmen" (Amazing) and "Hamburger."
Trivia[]
- For a limited time at Universal Studios Japan, a Yo-kai Watch-themed menu was served at the Studio Stars cafe themed after some of the characters. One of the food dishes was a "Massive Meriken Burger Set," which features Oh Bah Gah! (called "Oh-burger" on the menu) as an actual burger with fries and hot sauce as a side.
