Papa Bolt is a humanoid Yo-kai with reddish tan skin, tied spiky dark red hair, and a beard and unibrow of the same color. He wears a blue turquoise sleeveless kimono held by a dull red obi and beige white Roman wristbands. His legs are replaced by a single dull blue cloud, and a large beige white rope arch coiled in three is set behind his back.
Papa Bolt is said to be short tempered and grumpy, known for acting like a grumpy old man.
Papa Bolt has kindred relationships to several Yo-kai, some of which are, coincidentally, Thunder-attribute Yo-kai. He is the husband of Mama Aura and Statikid is his nephew. He is the father of Frazzel and the grandfather of Zappary.
Papa Bolt makes anyone he possesses act like thundering, grumpy old men.
