Petty-Cake's introduction
Petty-Cake debuted in Yo-kai Petty-Cake. It also reveals that before she was a Yo-kai, she was baked by a housewife, but died instantly when she was neglected, which explains why she wants attention.
She was then later summoned in Yo-kai Demuncher, along with Lazy Sundae, Life-is-Parfait, Oh Bah Gah!, Zest-a-Minute and Chicken Chukket respectively to make Nate force the food Yo-kai summoned to be eaten by Demuncher.
Etymology[]
- Petty-Cake's design and Japanese name basis is a pun on hottoite! (ほっといて!, "leave me alone!"), and hotcake (ホットケーキ, wasei-eigo/nickname for the pancake).
- "Petty-Cake" uses the words Petty (Having little or no interest) and Cake (from pancake). Her name is also a play on the nursery rhyme Patty-cake.
- "Brownilda is a combination of "Brownie" and the name "Matilda" with "Rechazada" (Rejected).
- "Tortastra" is a combination of "Torta" (cake) and the suffix "-astra" (used to indicate something unlikeable)
Trivia[]
- Petty-Cake's "random" nicknames are: Petunia, Veronica, Marjorie, and Eva.
