Platinos (Japanese: プラチナ鬼 Purachina Oni, Platinum Oni) is a Rank S, Lightning-attribute 'Merican Legendary Yo-kai of the Tough tribe introduced in Yo-kai Watch 3.
In Yo-kai Watch: Wibble Wobble, he is a Rank SS Yo-kai.
In Yo-kai Watch: Ukiukipedia Kiwami and Yo-kai Watch: Ukiukipedia Gakuen Y, he is classified as the Oni tribe.

Biology[]
Platinos is a large, muscular oni resembling Gilgaros; however, Platinos has one horn instead of two, a shiny grey, fluffy afro, and black eyes with sky blue sclera. He wears two pairs of metallic, dark gray rings on his wrists and ankles. Platinos also wears a sky blue cape and loincloth.
As his name may imply, Platinos has his entire body coated in platinum. There are sparkles around his body to indicate that he is shiny, similarly to platinum.

Yo-kai Watch 3[]
- Crank the Platinum Pass from Platinum Dream Coins or G1 Dream Coins.
- Use the Spewcopter to find Platinos on top of the grocery store in Southmond. If the player does not have the Spewcopter unlocked, the player must complete the quest Plain Sick of Flying! The quest can be started in Hopper's Gorge near the entrance to Dukesville.
- Talk to Platinos. He will challenge the player to a battle where he can be befriended. If the player fails to befriend Platinos, the player must wait until the next day and get another Platinum Pass before getting another chance to befriend him.
Alternatively, Platinos can be obtained as a Clu-T-fact reward in the Labyrinth of Valor.
Yo-kai Watch Busters 2[]
Platinos and the other 'Merican Legendaries can rarely be received as a reward for clearing the dungeon 'Merican Labyrinth. The 'Merican Legendary you may get changes daily however.
Yo-kai Watch: Wibble Wobble[]
The player must crank the Platinum Pass. Using the Platinum Pass warps the player to a room called 'Merican Legend Arena. The 'Merican Legend Arena has one stage that contains Platinos where he can be befriended. If the player fails to befriend him, the player must get another Platinum Pass for another chance to befriend him.

Etymology[]
- "Platinos" is a multilingual word derived from “Platinum”, also contains the word "oni".
- Like the other Oni of his weight class, Platinos’ Japanese name is simply his main color with ”Oni” added.
- "Platinum" is the english word for "Platino", a lustrous, ductile, and malleable, silver-white metal.
Trivia[]
- Platinos' Yo-kai Medallium biography in Yo-kai Watch: Wibble Wobble mentions the Japanese name of BBQ, calling it the "US" for short rather than "USA".
- Platinos' "random" nicknames in Yo-kai Watch 3 are: Cheddar, Feta, Mozza and Parmesan.
- For some reason, all his random nicknames are named after types of cheese.
