Pookivil looks like Pinkipoo, the biggest difference being that his fur is light indigo. He has large, heart-shaped ears with a smaller white heart inside to match his muzzle and dot-style eyebrows. His eyes are dark purple to match his fluffy tail and neck fur. He wears a black hat and a white top with dull green skirt-like bottoms. He displays a dark, mischievous expression.
Whenever Pookivil inspirit someone, they turn the person into a wicked schemer and/or prankster, using their better qualities such as a cute exterior, for dark purposes.
Pookivil can be found on the 5th floor of the Divine Paradise.
He can also be freed from the present Crank-a-kai with a Pink Coin, the Oni Crank-a-kai in Blasters mode, and from the Mystery Way Crank-a-kai using a Deer Mystery Coin.
Pookivil can be found on Patrol Missions in Old Springdale, San Fantastico and on VIP Patrol. Also, Pookivil can be found during the sub-quest "Defeat the Bony General!".
He can also be freed from the Crank-a-kai by using 3DS Play Coins into the Crank-a-kai, as well as Pookivil Coins, which can be obtained from QR Codes of Pookivil B Medals.
Pookivil made his debut in EX032, where he inspirited Katie to charm Nate into doing all her dirty work for her. Nate then tried to get Pookivil to help him charm Katie, but this backfired as he ended up charming Bearmie instead, and both are blasted off by Bearmie’s boyfriend. It is unknown if he gave Nate his medal.
Etymology[]
"Satandre" is a portmanteau of "Satan" and "tendre" (tender, loving).
"Schnuckiwatz" is a combination of "Schnuckiputz" (cutie, also the name of Pinkipoo) and "Watz" (either cute child or boar).
"Pufimaloso" is a combination of Pufi (the diminutive of "Puf" the onomatopoeia of something that falls, in this case in tenderness) and "Maloso" (bad).
"Pookivil" is a portmanteau of the sweet talk word "Pooky", "Pooch" and "evil."
"Amoroscuro" is a combination of "amore" (love) and "oscuro" (dark).
Origin[]
Pookivil's skill and characteristics, coupled with its appearance, might be a subtle reference to the shogun Tokugawa Tsunayoshi, whose overly stringent animal protection laws caused Edo (ancient name of Tokyo) to be overrun with stray and disease-ridden dogs. This earned him the despise of his subjects, who would insultingly call him Inu-Kubou ("Dog Shogun").
