Etymology[]
- "Batan Q" is an alteration of batankyū (Japanese: バタンキュー literally meaning; "dropping asleep, going out like a light").
- "Re-Q-Perate" and "Re-Q-Pera" comes from the term "recuperate," a term meaning to recover from an illness or exertion. This can also be figure of speech for recovering from a tiring experience hence his powers.
- B-Quem comes from Bequem (comfortable).
- Quesausto comes from "Questo è Esausto" (This is Exhausted).
- Saincope combines "Syncope" (Fainting) and "Sain" (Healthy).
Trivia[]
- Re-Q-Perate is the second Legendary Yo-kai to make their anime debut inside Nate's house. The first Legendary Yo-kai to do this is Shogunyan.
- Of the Legendary Yo-kai introduced in Yo-kai Watch 3, Re-Q-Perate is the only one who retains the requirement of filling out a Legend Page to befriend in Yo-kai Watch: Wibble Wobble. Princess Pearl and Asura were befriendable via pulls from the Crank-a-kai. Whyvern King had an event stage dedicated to him.
- Re-Q-Perate is also the only new Legendary Yo-kai from Yo-kai Watch 3 to appear in all three versions of the game in Japan.
