Regions are large areas within the video game series of Yo-kai Watch.
Overview[]
Together, regions represent the overworld of the games and everything that can be found in them. The player is free to explore these areas at will, providing they have gained access to it.
Known Regions[]
There are currently two known regions within the game series. In these regions, the game's main story takes place and usually expands that all over its areas.
Known regions are:
Springdale[]
Centered around the city of the same name, the region of Springdale marked the beginning of the game series and the anime. It is the largest region in the games as of Yo-kai Watch 3.
There are two other cities/towns that lie in this area: Harrisville and San Fantastico
The Springdale Railway is what connects all these areas together. With 22 stations and 4 train lines, it reaches all across the area.

BBQ[]
(Main Article: BBQ)
BBQ is a new region in Yo-kai Watch 3. Nate and his family moved here at the beginning of that game due to his dad's work being relocated to St. Peanutsburg.
Known Cities here are the one above and Dukesville.
A river can be found there that allows Nate and co. to use a raft on, and provides access to various other areas and dungeons, such as Grumbler's Grotto.
Trivia[]
- It should be noted that in the Japanese version, BBQ is known as the USA, and considered to be the equivalent to its real-life counterpart. In the localized version, though, it is known as just another region within the same country.
- The English release of the game implies that both Springdale and BBQ are settled somewhere in the USA, While other localizations state both regions are located somewhere in Europe.
- Still, Springdale and St. Peanutsburg are both considered to be located in different countries altogether, As both cities have typical Japanese and American aesthetics, respectively.
