Rinne translates to "endless cycle of rebirth".
Origin[]
Rinne is the Japanese translation of Samsara, in Buddhism, it is the "suffering-laden cycle of life, death, and rebirth, without beginning or end" this cycle is often depicted in the Bhavacakra, as a six-segmented wheel (representing 6 realms of existence on which Samsara occurs) this is represented by the wheel that floats behind Rinne's back.
Trivia[]

Rinne's Keystone stuck in his head
- Rinne is the first ever Z-Rank Yo-kai thus the first Yo-kai that could level up to level 60.
- Unlike most Yo-kai, Rinne's Keystone seems to be physically within him, while most Yo-kai fade into energy and leave their Keystone behind.
