In Yo-kai Watch 2, a Robbinyu appeared during the second part of the Treasure Hunters series of quests. After the player had defeated Duwheel and found the treasure hidden away in the Abandoned Tunnel in Mount Wildwood, Robbinyu appeared and Inspirited Mark, making him snag the treasure and run off with it. After tracking him down, the player then fights Robbinyu, freeing Mark from the inspiriting. Etymology[]
- "Bunbundori" roughly translates as "swing-swing bird." It is also a pun on bundoru (分捕る, "to capture/seize").
- "Robbinyu" is a corruption of "robbing you," and also a play on the word robin, a type of bird. It may also be inspired by Robin Hood, a thief who steals from the rich.
- "Mirlobirlo" is a combination of mirlo (blackbird) and birlar (swipe).
