Summary[]
"Jinta" is a mannequin Yo-kai that has been in the elementary school, that "Tate" attends, for 50 years. When a girl, by the name of "Manami", receives a confession letter, she believes it's a joke, sending "Jinta" into a fit of anger. Now he starts taking revenge on "Archie", a friend of "Tate", and although he doesn’t want to admit it, "Tate" suspects it could be the work of a Yo-kai, and starts doing research for Archie's sake.
Plot[]
The episode starts with an anatomical model introducing itself as Jinta. He states how he's been at the school for 50 years and a lot of people find him creepy. While staring at a girl the model has a crush on, another girl stares at him stating how it always gives her the creeps. The other girl is surprised, stating she thinks its pretty cute. The final girl in the group tells the first she's a bit weird but she isn't too bothered. Jinta continues, stating how the girl's name is Manami and that he's fallen in love with her after she called him cute. The girls then leave, planning to get food after school. Jinta laments how he's not human but only a little different. He promises to have Manami for his own, no matter what.
Manami is in the classroom, solving a maths problem in the chalkboard while Tate is bored at his desk. Her teacher is impressed but states he knew she'd be able to solve the problem. Manami tells him she studied ahead a little for the class. The teacher turns to the class, telling them to study hard just like Manami. The school bell rings and Tate jumps up in his seat excitedly cheering that class is over. Everyone stares at him with his teacher chastising him for celebrating too hard. Tank approaches Tate mentioning how bored he looked during class. He mentions how studious Manami is and Tate states how she's 'on the other side' with Tank questioning what he means. Tate explains that there's an invisible wall between people like him and Manami with Tank agreeing.
Tate goes to the detective agency meeting Bruno, Summer and Cole. He tells Summer he was getting bored at home. Bruno then states how he wants to ask him something. He shows an article on his computer involving his school. The article states how someone feels like someone is watching them. The group then describe the many horrifying things it could be, scaring Tate. Summer gives him her watch so he can investigate but he is adamant against the idea. Tate gives in, taking the watch to school to search for anything there. Tank approaches him stating that Archie got Manami angry. The two peer on on Archie and Manami in the laboratory where Archie is apologising to her. He wrote a love confession on the anatomical model but Manami is disgusted, calling it a tasteless prank. Tate and Tank reassure Archie but he's cross since Tank was the one who told him his confession needed to have an impact. Tank brushes it off, telling him he'll treat him to an ice cream. Jinta is upset about the graffiti but pleased at how angry Manami got for him. For a moment he imagines another girl but is unsure about it.
Outside a mysterious Yo-kai appears and spots a young girl to shoot a blowdart at, she drops what she was playing with just as he shoots and the dart goes into the anatomical models head across the room. The Yo-kai leaves, shocked while Jinta grows malicious. Later, Archie receives a note telling him to meet the sender by the emergency exit. A voice calls for him and he walks around to find who called. A plant pot falls from a window above him and he looks up to see more falling. He runs away in panic. He continues to get into close shaves where he's almost injured.
Archie and Tank approach Tate, telling him about the incidents. Tate dejectedly admits it must be the work of a Yo-kai. Later, the rest of the detective agency arrive at the school asking if Tate has found any leads. He explains Archie's situation and Cole summons Yoshitsune to help figure it out. Yoshitsune searches for any Yo-kai energy and finds the room where the source of the energy is. The group heads in with Manami noticing them. Summer notices dirt on the floor leading up to the anatomical models feet as well as wax on its hands. She deducts that it is the culprit and Tate can't believe it but Jinta begins to move, admitting he is. Tate asks why he's been attacking Archie and Jinta admits he's a rival for his love. Tate realises he likes Manami too and Jinta retaliates, asking why it's wrong for him to love a human. The mysterious Yo-kai from before looks on again, aiming to shoot a dart at Manami but she moves away and it strikes Jinta again. He transforms into his Shadowside form, Jingeki, leaping out of the window.
Jingeki finds Archie on the playground, the mere sight of him causing him to faint. The group run over to save him. Tate tries to stop him but he throws a part of his body at him. Summer eggs him on to summon a Yo-kai to help. Tate summons Basher to stop him but he is easily defeated. Cole steps in, summoning Lord Acala. Ganryuu Shimanouchi watches on from the side pleased he has discovered who wields the Stormweaver. Lord Acala fights him, sending him flying backwards towards Ganryuu. He transforms into Voidera, using the Ashura Gouenmaru to blast him away. Lord Acala continues to fight him until Manami yells to make them stop.
Jingeki is surprised Manami can see him and tells her he has to continue but she states that when he's angry he isn't cute like he used to be. Jingeki is distraught, thinking Manami completely hates him. He transforms back into Jinta and asks the detective agency to kill him. He tells Manami that he loves her still despite their differences but Manami rejects him still. Manami retorts, telling him that she can't because she knows his true love. She gives him a little anatomical model plush that her grandma treasured. She explains how her grandma told her she used to speak to an anatomical model named Jin when she was at school and Jinta remembers her as his other love, Machiko. He remembers how she would always come by to talk to him about her troubles. She names him Jin and wishes he was a human like her. Jinta is upset he forgot such an important person to him. Manami tells Jinta that she has passed away but told her she wanted to meet him one last time. Jinta burst into tears, running away with the plush.
Bruno returns to the detective agency and is surprised to see Jinta in his room wearing a white suit that only covers his back. Bruno tells him to wear something on his front but Jinta states it's the anatomical model style. Bruno yells at him, telling him to leave.
