The Sacred Armory (Japanese: 妖聖剣 Yōseiken) are a group of five sacred swords that appear in the Yo-kai Watch Shadowside series.
Overview[]
The Sacred Armory hold incredible power, and each have mighty Yo-kai residing within them. These Yo-kai are referred to as Sword Bearer (Japanese: 剣武魔神 Kenbumajin).
Those who use a Sacred Sword may be possessed and transformed into its Sword Bearer.
The Sacred Armory have the ability to change their shapes, like shrinking down to small, knife-like sizes. However, they retain their sharpness in these forms.
History[]
Due to their incredible power, most of the Sacred Armory have been sealed away since ancient times, only to be unsealed in times where their power might be needed to overcome great threats. In Yo-kai Watch 4, Boreas tells Cole about how the Sacred Armory were created to contain Overseer's power.

Similar to the anime, the Sacred Armory actually awoke Overseer's full power when gathered together.

In the Shadowside series, Theo's goal was to collect all five of the Sacred Swords, which was supposed to awaken the full power of "the Princess" he was looking for. However, it later turns out that the Sacred Armory actually awoke Overseer's full power when gathered together.

A dark blue Sacred Sword with a golden edge and triangular cross guard with a two-horned Oni with fins on both side of its head. The very thin oval part at the top of the cross guard has four small orbs in a straight vertical line from blue at the bottom to yellow, green and ending with red. Lord Acala is its Sword Bearer. The Stormweaver is known to have been sealed away by the Enma Clan for generations, due to Lord Acala's uncontrollable power. It is later obtained by Cole in the 4th movie. He is able to possession summon Lord Acala by stabbing the sword into his Yo-kai Watch Ogre. In the Shadowside series, Cole continues to use this occasionally to win battles, like in episode 5 and episode 10. It's stolen by Theo in episode 12, but recovered later in episode 14. In said episode, Fukurou stabs himself in the wrist with it, turning himself into Fudou Myouou Ja. This Sacred Sword was the first ever revealed. In the anime, and when playing with the toys, the chant is: A storm is coming! The Stormweaver (Japanese: 雷轟電撃! フドウ雷鳴剣 Raigō Dengeki! Fudō Raimeiken) with Rock music. In Y School Heroes, The Majin Hero known as Fudo Riser is able to summon and weild Stormweaver. A purple Sacred Sword, it has a pinkish purple and gold coloration with a phoenix-based pattern on its handle, with pink spots in between the two phoenixes on the cross guard and each has one wing on both sides of the sword. What appears to be a pink gemstone can be seen on the handle, and can be split in two pieces and be used as twin blades. Its Sword Bearer is Suzaku. In episode 13, after the Stormweaver has been stolen by Theo, Cole and the others set out to find this one. However, Suzaku no longer has it, and thus doesn't appear in the form of a Sword Bearer, but a Celestial instead. Its whereabouts were unknown, but was later found in episode 21. A red Sacred Sword, it's golden in appearance, with a red blade with gold trims and about one inch wider than the other sword Sacred Armory, with a triple faced oni face with rounded ruby set above the head within its hilt. Its gold fiery hand guards point sideways. The blade has a mirror-like, polished appearance compared to the hilt. There are eight red tines along its blade, and they range from simple outward pointing spikes to ones which have a slight outward curve to them, similar to a fiery pattern. its Sword Bearer is Asura. During Lord Acala's battle with Jingeki, it's shown that Theo's underling Ganryuu Shimanouchi previously wielded the Wildfire Blaze. The whereabouts of its true owner were unknown. However, concerning what happened in the 5th movie, it's possible that the Wildfire Blaze is Asura himself, and then is confirmed to be true in episode 45 when Theo finally gives Cole the Wildfire Blaze after losing a battle between the two. In the 5th movie, Overseer briefly used it. In the anime, and when playing with the toys, the chant is: Turning up the heat! A green Sacred Sword that can also double as an axe. The axe has a 6-foot long straight black hexagon patterned handle with an emerald gem on the pommel, and what appears to be a golden snake coiled from the middle to the head. The axe head for each weapon has a rather standard shape for an axe head, though the toe and heel extend outward in a smooth curve. The axe head is gold with turtle shell shape and four red, green, yellow, and blue small orbs on equal sides, while the blade is golden. Also, on the top handle sticking out of the axe heads' middle is an emerald crystal. Its Sword Bearer is Genbu. In episode 31, the Yo-kai Detective Team are informed by Voidera that the only way to defeat Lady Arachnia is with the Genbu Hotenfu. In episode 31, the Yo-kai Detective Team travel to the Yo-kai World, where they battle Genbu and receive the Genbu Hotenfu. A light blue Sacred Sword that also doubles as a Karigata Yari, a light blue bladed yari with two side gold blades pointing down flat polished with a tiger in the middle with gold fur flaring upwards on both sides while the bottom tip has a light blue diamond in the middle. It's Sword Bearer is Byakko In episode 45, the Yo-kai Detective Team travel to Mystic Grove and only Cole and Theo are able to enter Byakko's lair, where they battle Byakko and receive the Tiger's Talon. Trivia[]
- As of episode 45, Cole is in possession of all the Sacred Swords. In episode 49, Cole gives the Wildfire Blaze back to Shutendoji.
- It was unknown as to how the Sacred Armory were essential to Juno's Awakening. However, in episode 45, the mural depicting the role of the Sacred Armory in Juno's awakening was actually a corruption done by Overseer. Later in the following episode, it turns out that gathering the Sacred Armory awakens Overseer's true power.
- When inserting the Enma Blade & Jaou Ken Sacred Armory weapons from the DX Yami Enma Agito to the DX Yo-kai Watch Orge, their chant is:
- Both Wildfire Blaze and Wildfire Brand have been used in the Animax Subs, with Wildfire Brand likely being the correct name due to it being used in more episodes, and Wildfire Blaze only being used in an episode where the localized names were sloppily done.
