Sad to the Bone (Japanese: バケルトン Bakeruton) is a Rank A, Drain-attribute Yo-kai of the Tough tribe introduced in Yo-kai Watch 3.

Biology[]
Sad to the Bone appears as a floating skeleton with a single red and yellow colored eye and no legs. He has purple colored hands and golden wristbands around his arms. Inside of his ribcage is a blue flame with two blue flame wisps floating around him. He also has a single horn atop of his head.

Etymology[]
- "Bakeruton (バケルトン) is a portmanteau of "sakeruton" (skeleton) and "bakeru" (to transform or to shapeshift).
- "Sad to the Bone" is a play on the phrase "bad to the bone" by replacing "bad" with "sad."
- "Penancio" combines "Penas" (pain or sadness) and "Cansancio" (fatigue).
- "Scheletristo" is a portmanteau of "scheletro" (skeleton) and "tristo" (archaic or poetic word that means sad).
- "Kummerknochen" is a portmanteau of "Kummer" (grief or sorrow) "Knochen" (bone).
