Quotes[]

  • Receiving food (favorite): “Better than bacon?”
  • Receiving food (normal): ”I’m tastier...”
  • Receiving food (disliked): “How COULD You?!”
  • Loafing: "Curing..."
  • Befriended: ”I guess I was a bit crisp with ya! Here, take a bite!”
  • Traded: “If you’re trying to bring home the bacon by trading for me, you’ve succeeded!”
  • Freed from the Crank-a-kai: “Hey, flip me gently, if you want me to crisp properly!”

In the anime[]

He debuted in EP105. At a visit to a Hotel Brunch Buffet, Salty Bacon disguised as a regular piece of bacon by turning himself over and hiding his legs, successfully not being caught so he could inspirit Lily and Aaron Adams, making them very annoyed while chewing on their silverware. After being stabbed with a fork by none other than the protagonist, the bacon Yo-kai reveals himself. After the protagonist learns about the bacon Yo-kai’s bacon enhancing abilities, Irewig and Papa Bolt are summoned to make the bacon Yo-kai angry. Even with their inspiriting, the bacon wasn’t crisp enough, so Nate summoned Spoilerina to make the pork crisp to the max. Then, a scene similar to Gourmet School Lunch happens, but midway through the bacon slips off the fork, making it inedible.

Etymology[]

  • Karikari Bacon's design is based on a wordplay on karikari (カリカリ, "foul-tempered, touchy, irritable") and karikari bacon (カリカリベーコン, "crispy bacon").
  • Salty Bacon is a pun on salted bacon (Which is when you cook bacon with salt) and the word salty, meaning angry or with a grudge.
  • Tête de Lard is a pun on the wordplay "Tête de lard" (roughly translated to Bacon head), meaning a stubborn person and "Lard" (Bacon).
  • Panceto is a corruption of "Panceta" (Bacon) and "Pataleta" (Tantrum).
