Schemer (Japanese: たくらむ怪魔 Takuramu Kaima) are Wind-attribute Wicked Yo-kai introduced in Yo-kai Watch 2 that possess Classic Yo-kai into Wicked Servants.

Schemer is an indigo humanoid-like Wicked Yo-kai having large pale peach wisps on their heads, red and pink eyes, pale indigo lips, three sharp fingers on each hand, and are barefoot. he wears a black hakama tied with a red cloth and bandages on his hands and ankles.

Yo-kai Watch 2[]

Schemer is a Wicked Yo-kai that appears in Springdale after Dame Dedtime covers the world in a Ded-Cloud, which eventually inspirits people with Wicked Yo-kai. He can also manipulate Classic Yo-kai in Old Springdale. Once the Inspirited Yo-kai is defeated, Schemer will reveal himself, and will attack until all the player's Yo-kai have been defeated, or if he is defeated. This goes the same for Loiter and Flicker. During the battle against Dame Dedtime, she can summon Schemen after stealing the level of a Yo-kai.

Like Loiter and Flicker, he has the power to possess Classic Yo-kai and turn them into Wicked Servants.

Schemer also can be summoned by Dame Dredful as the same way that Dame Dedtime does it. He also appears in the Gogo Junction of the Mystery Way, after defeating the Classic Yo-kai inspirited same that in Old Springdale.

In the Physic Blasters mode, he can be summoned by Dame Dedtime.

Yo-kai Watch Blasters[]

Schemer can be summoned by Dame Dedtime in all of her boss figths. Several of them also appears in Old Springdale in the sub-mission "Most Terrifying! Five Wicked Yo-kai!" in Chapter 11.

Yo-kai Watch 3[]

Schemer makes a brief cameo in Chapter 6 of the story. When the summoning experiment fails in the watch lab of Yopple, the Yo-kai summoning systems summons him along a Zombie and Necromutt. However he is not seen in the battle, as he was replaced by Badsmella and Madmunch. After the battle he is seen disappearing along the zombie Yo-kai. Schemer is not seen or mentioned again in the game.

Yo-kai Watch: Wibble Wobble[]

Schemer sometimes appears in several levels as a non-playable miniboss. He also can be summoned by Dame Dedtime and Dame Dredful after stealing the level of the Yo-kai team.

On May 16, 2024, Schemer was added as a boss in the Wicked's Mysterious Document ① pass, alongside Flicker.

In the anime[]

Loiter, Flicker and Schemer appear in M01 as grunts of Dame Dedtime being defeated as an army.

Loiter, Flicker and Schemer make a brief appearance in EX007.

Etymology[]

His Japanese name Takuramu Kaima translates into Scheming Monster.

His English name Schemer is another word for "Plotting or Planning."

His Spanish name Maquinador translates as "Plotter."

  • This is one of the few Yo-kai to not appear in Yo-kai Watch 2's Meddalium.
