Secrets of Soulcery is a Key Quest that is part of the story of Yo-kai Watch 2 and tasks the player with learning the Soulcery mechanic of the game. The quest can be started by talking to the Grand Monk at the Temple of Virtue located in Harrisville. It is recommended to be completed around Level 10. Since it is a Key Quest, the player is forced to complete it to progress with the story

Quest

As part of the main story, the player travels to Harrisville to meet their grandma. While there, the player learns Soulcery from the Grand Monk at the Temple of Virtue. The Monk is willing to teach the player about how to perform Soulcery, however is missing a Bamboo Shoot in order to teach them. The player must fetch a Bamboo Shoot for the Monk. The quest concludes with the player handing over a Bamboo Shoot and learning Soulcery from the Grand Monk.

Quest description

Pre-quest

• The Grand Monk at the Temple of Virtue in Harrisville has apparently got some kind of secret Yo-kai knowledge. Sounds mysterious... Let's head to the Temple of Virtue to find out more!
• The Grand Monk at the Temple of Virtue in Harrisville can perform Soulcery.

During quest

• The Grand Monk can create Soul Gems with something called Soulcery! Unfortunately, he's just run out of the Bamboo Shoots he needs to do it! Head to the Mountain Market!

Quest complete

• The Grand Monk was only after Bamboo Shoots because he wanted to eat them! Still, he's pleased all the same and will do Soulcery for us anytime we like! Now we can make our Yo-kai stronger!

Guidance

• The player can purchase a Bamboo Shoot from the Mountain Market store east of to the temple.

Trivia

• The player does not need to perform Soulcery to complete the quest.
• This quest unlocks the use of Soulcery in the Temple of Virtue.
