The Shadowside Detective Agency (Japanese: 妖怪探偵事務所, Yōkai tantei jimusho) is a detective agency formed by Bruno at the end of the fourth movie and is a major location in the Yo-kai Watch Shadowside anime and Yo-kai Watch 4.

Overview

The Yo-kai Detective Agency was formed by Bruno some time after the Oniou Rasen incident, when he asks Summer and Cole if they want to help solve more Yo-kai related incidents. More members join up, including Tate (Summer's brother), Isabelle, and in Yo-kai Watch 4, Nate, Katie and Jack after they end up involved in the events of the game.

The headquarters of the agency itself is inside Bruno's bedroom. Next to his bed, there is a desk and a computer where the Detective Agency goes to a site where they usually find their cases.

Yo-kai Watch 4

The detective agency was formed sometime before the game, presumably in the same way as in M04. Its main headquarters is located in Kasumidai. During the game, multiple characters join the agency. These include Nate after he is temporarily stranded in the future, Katie after she recieves a Yo-kai Watch Arcane and helps the group, Isabelle in a similar way to the anime, and Jack after they save Tae from Tamamo.

In a post-credits scene of Yo-kai Watch Shadowside: The Return of the Oni King, Akinori starts a Detective Agency in Sakura Motomachi.

Trivia

• Despite being a main character in the anime, in Yo-kai Watch 4, Isabelle only joins in the Detective Agency's activities during Chapter 6.
• Tate, also a main character in the anime, does not join in the Detective Agency's activities in Yo-kai Watch 4 other than briefly in Chapter 2.
