Shin-motomachi Shopping Area (Japanese: 新元町商店街,Shin motomachishōtengai) is an area part of Sakura Motomachi that appears in Yo-kai Watch 4. It is an area with lots of shops and contains the door to Mystic Grove.
The Ms. Donut bakery was previously present in some episodes of the Yo-kai Watch anime series before eventually making an appearance as an interactable shop here.
The back alley where Touma got his powers from Ogu, Togu & Mogu in M04 and the manga adaptation can be found here. Though, it hardly plays a role in the game, other than having an Item Box located there.
Some of the stores in this area play songs. However, they cannot be normally heard with the district's background music unless it's turned down in the audio settings.
The song that plays near the drug store is the Mimikin dancing minigame in Yo-kai Watch 2 and Yo-kai Watch 3, except in a higher key.
The song that plays near the ice cream store is the same song that plays during the Princess Contest that Katie, Summer and Isabelle enter.
The song that plays at the store yummy’s is a short loop of Northbeech’s theme from Yo-kai Watch 3.
The song that plays at the store ITEM LAND is a short loop of Tomnyan’s theme from Yo-kai Watch 3.
