Shinmagunshin Fukurou (Japanese: 真魔軍神フクロウ, Shinmagunshin Fukurō) is a Boss Yo-kai of the Shinma tribe.

In Yo-kai Watch: Wibble Wobble, he is a Rank SS Yo-kai of the Shady tribe.

Biology

Shinkagunshin Fukurou is a massive, monstrous form of Fukurou. His body is mostly charcoal colored with golden markings all over, with his arms, feet and the feather tufts on his head and hips being a dark shade of green. He has sharp red claws and teeth. He has three eyes, two colored green and the one at the center of his forehead being yellow. He has red and yellow colored appendages sprouting from his back and at the center of his torso, he has pitched black markings in a swirly shape. In Yo-kai Watch 4, this swirl is a vortex, that also holds an energy orb and various wisps of energy orbiting it. Unlike most other Yo-kai affected by The Gloom, Fukurou has completely mutated, rather than gaining the telltale black aura.

Shinkagunshin Fukurou is the boss of Chapter 5, in a similar way to the anime. Unlike the anime, he is instead fought outside Springdale Elementary School, and he survives due to Katie healing him.

In the anime

Yo-kai Watch Shadowside

In SS014, After being defeated as Fudou Myouou Ja by Suzaku and being mercilessly mocked by Voidera, Fukurou takes this massive form, becoming powerful enough to even match Voidera. Summer responds by summoning Sly, who turns into Super Sly. However, he wastes so much time explaining his new transformation, that he can only land one hit before he reverts back to his original state, allowing Shinmagunshin Fukurou to put him out the fight. Just as he closes in on Summer, Bruno and Tate, Cole, who had left to retrieve the Stormweaver, turns into Fudou Myouou Ten, who slices Fukurou down the middle, killing and vaporizing him.

Etymology

• Shinmagunshin (Japanese: 真魔軍神, Shinmagunshin) is possibly translated as "True Demon God"
• Fukurou (Japanese: フクロウ, Fukurō) translates to "Owl."

Trivia

• This is the only Yo-kai to be shown to be a result of The Gloom.
