Biology[]
Shogun King bears a striking resemblance to Shogunyan. Shogun King is a giant cat Yo-kai with pointy ears, angry-looking yellow eyes, a white beard, and two tails with white tips in a similar fashion to that of Rubeus J. He wears armor similar to Shogunyan's, but Shogun King's armor has a few golden spikes on the shoulder pads, side pads, and on the knees. The chest plate armor has four black wisps with each red swirl inside. Shogun King carries a large katana sword with a golden hilt and a blue-teal sheath on the hilt.
Profile[]
Yo-kai Watch Blasters[]
Shogun King appears in the last mission in Moon Rabbit Crew and by proxy, can be deemed the final boss of the game. Before his mission is selected, it is reported a "Blasters hunt" had started, other Blaster teams being eliminated while the group discusses the emergency. Shortly after, Lord Enma appears and explains Shogun King was awoken by the grudges of other Big Bosses defeated by Blaster teams, and his mission is unlocked.
Game data[]
Yo-kai Watch Blasters[]
Shogun King can be fought during the Moon Rabbit Crew mission "The Legendary King." After defeating him during the mission, his Super and Ultra variants can be fought in Big Boss missions.
Attacks[]
Cat Slash - Slices in front of him once or twice in succession.
Spiral Slash - Swings his sword in a circular motion, damaging any Yo-kai near him.
Gravity Slash - Jumps into the air and stabs the ground with his giant sword.
Waterfall Slash - Slices any Yo-kai in front of him and behind him.
Curse of the Fallen - Lowers SPD of a Yo-kai.
Blades of Regret - Absorbs lost souls into his sword to upgrade it and deal more damage. It is possible to attack the lost souls and prevent his sword from further upgrading. Similar to Orcanos' War Paint,it is possible to stall this attack out, during which he's in a prone state where he can be hit with a X/Y attack for Chance Time.
Moon Slash (Soultimate) - Slices either the moon, a giant watermelon or Whisper, in half. The two halves fall to the ground to deal heavy damage to any Yo-kai in its shadows. His first use of it is always the moon, with the other 2 occasionally appearing after said initial use if the moon doesn't rise again during the fight.
Due to the amount of damage he can deal and the range of his attacks, it is highly recommended to bring Yo-kai with the Healer role, or any Yo-kai with the Dodge and Fall-Back Attack attacks. The best time to score hits on him outside of the aforementioned Chance Time is almost immediately after he does his Waterfall or Spiral Slash attacks, as they have a longer cool down than his other regular moves.
