"I'm sure you know the feeling, when you're heading down a dark and lonely road, all by yourself. All of a sudden, you just know, from the bottom of your soul...don't turn around!"

Biology[]

Skulk is a navy blue, circular Yo-kai. He has a red eye with a teal and yellow iris and a black pupil. He has a big mouth with many teeth. He has twelve green arms, two of which are larger and function as actual arms. The rest act like feet when he rolls. Skulk stands on three of these limbs. Ten out of his twelve hands are green.

Profile[]

Yo-kai Watch 3[]

Skulk can be fought at Hazy Lane after completing Hazy Lane at least six times.

When the player is walking through Hazy Lane, Skulk will sometimes show up behind the player and attempt to catch the player. If he catches them, the player will be thrown backwards, losing some progress made in Hazy Lane.

You can battle him at the Hazy Manor by speaking to Moody Mary and she will say, "Do you want to turn back?" and if you wait one day, you will have the option to turn back and you will battle Skulk.

Yo-kai Watch Busters 2[]

Skulk is exclusive to Sword.

Yo-kai Watch Wibble Wobble[]

Shulk could be befriended by cranking him from the Super Yo-kai Crank from November 2, 2024, to November 22, 2024. These coins were paid only.

Strategy[]

Recommended Level - 50

When fighting against Skulk, his head will rotate whenever the player moves their Yo-kai. After a certain amount of head rotations, Skulk will move on the board. The player is warned to not let Skulk reach the front three tiles. If Skulk reaches any of the front three tiles, he will unleash his Soultimate on the player's Yo-kai.

Attacks

Tentacle Slap - Hits a Yo-kai twice in succession.

Toxic Tears - Creates four toxic puddles, dealing damage to any Yo-kai over them.

Spine-chilling Stall - Inspirits a Yo-kai, causing them to be transfixed by fear. They sometimes don’t act.

Bl-bleeeem! Bleem! - Damages the column in front of him with a water beam.

Trembling Tentacles - Throws his tentacles for moderate damage. Targets the tiles that the player’s Yo-kai are currently on.

Slurpy Spin - Spins and licks the front row.

Slap ‘n’ Slurp (Soultimate) - If Skulk gets to the front, he will unleash an unavoidable Soultimate move. After utilizing it, he moves back one row.

Quotes[]

  • Befriended (Wibble Wobble): "I'll follow you forever! Bishaaaaa!"

Etymology[]

"Skulk" is named after the word "skulk," meaning to move stealthily or furtively.

"Bishagatsuku" is named after the youkai Bishagatsuku.

"Paticio" is a portmanteau of patas (paws, though in this context can be interpreted as "legs") and the name Patricio (Patrick).

Origin[]

Skulk is based on the northern Fukui version of the youkai Betobeto-san, Bishagatsuku. The Bishagatsuku is similar to the Betobeto-san as it will follow people and approach them. However, the Bishagatsuku's footsteps sound different because of the slush-filled streets of northern Fukui.

Trivia[]

  • Despite him being a Yo-kai of the Earth attribute, he uses water based attacks.
