Slippery (tribe)

The Slippery tribe (Japanese: ニョロロン族, Nyororon-zoku) is one of the eleven Yo-kai Tribes, with this tribe having its Yo-kai being notable for buffing their allies' stats with their inspiritments, while also being hard to be negatively inspirited by the opponents. They also have either serpentine bodies, serpentine-like attributes, are based on sea creatures, or merely have really long body parts. They are often very independent-minded.

This tribe's emblem is a snake-like shape in a teal-blue background. When two or more Slippery Yo-kai are adjacent to each other in battle, they will receive a Slippery Unity inspiriting defense bonus.

Japanese:

In the anime and when playing with the toys, their chant is: "Nyororon! Let's go-go! Isn't so good!?" (Japanese: ニョロローン！デロローン！ソロソロ、イイダローン！？ Nyororōn! Derorōn! Sorosoro, ii darōn!?) while being accompanied by snake charmer-like music (as hinted by Pandanoko's summoning dance).

Yo-kai Watch Model Zero[]

Like all of the originally introduced Yo-kai Tribes, the Slippery tribe's chant with the Yo-kai Watch Model Zero in the anime and when playing with the toys has replaced with instrumentals.

English: In the games and when playing with the toys, their chant is: "Slippery! Slippy! Slippery! Slip! Slippery! Slippy! Slippery! Slip!" while being accompanied by Middle East-styled music.

Japanese: In the anime and when playing with the toys, their chant is: "Nyororon! Nyororon! Nyororon! Nyororon! (Japanese: ニョロロン！ニョロロン！ニョロロン！ニョロロン！) while being accompanied by Middle East-styled music.

Yo-kai Watch Dream[]

In the anime and when playing with the toys, their chant is: "Nyororon, Nyorooooroooro (NYOOooorooorooon)! What is going on?! Nyororon~!" (Japanese: ニョロロン！ニョーローローニョローローン！何が出るのかな？ニョロローン!, Nyororon! Nyōrōrōnyorōrōn! Nani ga deru no ka na? Nyororōn!) while being accompanied by a Spanish acoustic guitar.

Dark Yo-kai Watch[]

When playing with the toys, their chant is: (Japanese: 蛇ミミズ!ウナギに鼻水、ニョーロニョロ～!, Hebi mimizu! Unagi ni hanamizu, nyōronyoro ~!, English: Like a snake! Like an eel with a runny nose, that's Slippery~!)while being accompanied by dark suspenseful music.

Lady Longnek is the only Yo-kai of the tribe to not be based on a reptile, aquatic animal or anything that involves slime or slipperiness.
The beta design of the Slippery tribe is called the "Uroko" tribe.
