Snortlehog (Japanese: ねぶた Nebuta) is a Rank B, Fire-attribute Local Yo-kai of the Brave tribe introduced in Yo-kai Watch 2.

Snortlehog evolves from Slumberhog when fused with a Goldfish Lantern.

In Yo-kai Watch World, he is one of the Yo-kai required to unlock Komashura.

Snortlehog is a large pig with markings on his face. He also has wild black hair and a hat. He wears shoulder armor and orange robes tied with a yellow rope.

In the anime[]

Snortlehog first appears at the end of Yo-kai Slumberhog, after it evolved from Slumberhog when Jibanyan woke it up by straightening its tail.

Etymology[]

  • "Snortlehog" is a corruption on the word snort combined with hog.
  • "Nebuta" is the same name as this Yo-kai's pre-evolution, only written in Hiragana. It comes from the Japanese Nebuta Festival.
  • "Wutwutz" is a combination of wut (fury) and wutz (swine).
  • "Torreznio" is a corruption of torrezno (a food similar to bacon) combined with furioso (furious).
  • "Torporco" is a combination of "Toro" (bull) and "porco" (pig).
