Solar Enma is a humanoid Yo-kai that resembles Lord Enma, his head and face have a fierce expression, and multiple red markings can be seen on his face, he has three eyes, all having yellow sclerae and grey irises, on his third eye is a cross like marking that's a darker red. His hair now resembles flames consisting of black and crimson colors. He possesses a dark complexion and has two long crimson fingerless gloves with a gold flame design and rings, and near his shoulders are decorated red and gold bands. He wears a sleeveless red outfit with a white upper section and predominant red going below near the edges, which end in a black color. On his neckline, he wears a stylized gold trinklet that connects to a flaming blue-green cape that ends in yellowish flames, and along his chest is a sash with 5 skulls with wisps emanating from one of their eye sockets. He wears a rope-like belt with a skull buckle and below it is a loincloth with a gold wisp. He wears red shorts with black ends and black pants within them. He wears red shoes with gold accents. Behind him is a brown sword holder containing two swords with blue flaming handles, one darker and one lighter blue.

In the Japanese version, Solar Enma is exclusive to Sushi. He can be befriended in the quest "The Lonely King". Solar Enma is encountered at Mt. Cluvimpus located in the Cluvian Continent. After battling with Lord Enma, it is revealed that Solar Enma hails from an alternate world where the Yo-kai World was ruined by war that not even him in a strengthened state could stop. After the quest line, players unlock the Enma Palace dungeon in Blasters T, and can challenge Solar Enma with a chance of befriending him in his instance.
In the Japanese Tempura or Sukiyaki versions, Solar Enma won't be featured in the quest, but can still be fought and befriended in the Enma Palace once it has been unlocked.
Didn't befriend: "Impressive! However, I believe there's much potential still dormant within you! You must battle me until your soul burns like a radiant supernova! Illuminate me with your true power, and I shall pledge to be your ally!"
Befriended: "Hah! Impressive! Very well, I'll join you! Allow me to accompany you on your dungeon delves, and I shall light your path! Oh, and one more thing... If you wish to battle us Enma tribe Yo-kai again, you know where to find us! Hah! Even my radiance cannot further illuminate your path now!"
Blasters T camp: "Go ahead, light my day!"

Solar Enma's random nicknames in Yo-kai Watch 3 are: Balmer, Rohan, Joshua, and Curly.
The name "Balmer" may be a reference to Bulma, the name "Rohan" is a reference to Gohan and "Curly" is a reference to Krillin from the Dragon Ball Z series.
In Yo-kai Watch: Wibble Wobble, Solar Enma was the first SSS Rank Yo-kai.
