Sorrypus (Japanese: ゴメンダコ Gomendako), is a Rank D Yo-kai of the Uwanosora tribe introduced in Yo-kai Watch 4.

Biology[]
Sorrypus is a mustard yellow umbrella octopus Yo-kai with large black eyes, an orange mouth, and a sad expression. He has three light orange spots: two near his eyes and one on the top of his head. He lastly possesses whitish tips by the end of his tentacles.
People who are inspirited by this Yo-kai find themselves apologizing to others for no reason. The anime implies this is because they are hit by his ink, which causes them to be Inspirited
In the Yo-kai Watch! anime, he is capable of to eating Yo-kai bigger than him, with examples being Flocktopus, So-Sorree, and Bowminos. He will also eat the person it attaches its head to until it becomes one of them.

Sorrypus can be found in Soukenzan and Houkenden as well as Ark doors in Uptown Springdale. He can be freed from the future Crank-a-kai with an Old Coin as a second prize or a Gasha Coin, Five-Star Coin or One-Star Coin as a third prize. He can also be found in the Gutsy Bones battles in Enma Tournament - Oni Arena as well as in the Dameboy, Hyakki-hime (Shadowside), B trio, Acala Exalted and McKraken missions in PuraPura Blasters.

Yo-kai Watch![]
Sorrypus debuted in EX028, where he stuck himself on Nate's head and caused Katie, Bear, and Eddie to apologize weirdly to him. When told that he might get turned into one of them, Nate summons Flocktopus to yank it off, but his tentacles get tangled and Sorrypus simply inhales him. So-Sorree and Bowminos were summoned next as Nate wanted them to "apologize so hard that Sorrypus will come off" but they also get inhaled. Eventually, Nate resorts to summoning Black Dianyan to get rid of Sorrypus, but he quickly realizes Black Dianyan will decapitate him with his sword, so he uses the Onechanside to prevent that, turning the Jewel General's sword into a tire. Black Dianyan then uses the tire to wear against Sorrypus, and then binds the tire to the octopus Yo-kai, who gives its Keystone to Nate, as it was successfully defeated.

Etymology[]
- "Gomendako" is a portmanteau of gomen (Japanese: ゴメン "sorry") and mendako (Japanese: メンダコ "umbrella octopus").
- "Sorrypus" is a portmanteau of the word, sorry and the sea creature, octopus.
Origin[]
Given his name, Sorrypus may be based on the umbrella octopus.

- Sorrypus's inhalation powers are similar Kirby, who is capable of mouthing down things that are even bigger than him (mostly with the hypernova ability).
