The Springdale Sports Club (Japanese: さくらスポーツクラブ Sakura supōtsu kurabu) is a gym located in the middle of Downtown Springdale that appears in the Yo-kai Watch series. it is where the player can train their Yo-kai in different ways.
In the Yo-kai Watch video game, the Construction Site was in its place and at the beginning of Yo-kai Watch 2.
Overview[]
It is a three-story building with floors containing gym equipment. The ground floor is where the player can interact with Sporty Sue to do activities at the club. The first floor is a gym for humans while the second floor is a gym for Yo-kai and where the Baffle Board is located in both games.
In Yo-kai Watch 2, the player can access a part of the Construction Site from the ground floor with a Mirapo.
Types of Modes[]
Battle for GP[]
In Battle for GP, you have 3 different modes: Knockout Bouts, which has two options, casual, where you can use any team that you choose, and official, where the player does many team battles with the player's official battle team, and the player can't heal with items. Then next, there's Mission Battles where the player battles, but you have a certain challenge with it. Last the player has Boss Rush where the player battles bosses. Only a the boss Rush Mode is available in Yo-kai Watch 2 but in Psychic Specters and Yo-kai Watch 3 you can battle bosses in two modes. Rush Mode lets the player can battle a series of Boss Yo-kai, and single mode where you fight a single boss. The bosses available in this mode appear only once encountered in the story or quests. This also applies to the boss rushes.
Yo-Formance[]
Yo-Formance is where the player can use GP to level up Yo-kai. Each Yo-kai can be levelled up with either STR, SPR, DEF and SPD up to five times. When upgraded at least once, the abilities can be reset. Each Yo-Formance upgrade adds five points to the desired stat but minuses two from another. Raising STR lowers DEF, raising SPR lowers SPD, raising DEF lowers SPD and raising SPD lowers DEF.
In Yo-kai Watch 2 the first upgrade costs 100 GP with each additional upgrade adding 50 GP each time. It costs 300 GP to reset a Yo-kai's skills. In Yo-kai Watch 3 each upgrade costs 160 GP but ability reset costs the same.
In the games[]
Yo-kai Watch 2[]
Initially, the building is under construction and the player finds a Baffle Board outside of the area which requires the Yo-kai Mochismo to finish the building. The process takes three real-time days for it to be built.
When the building is finished, it can be accessed.
Yo-kai Watch 3[]
The building plays a role in the storyline, where Hailey must find a way for Meganyan to lose weight for him to revert back into Hovernyan. Completing this mission unlocks the club facilities for the player.
