Springdale Star Pt. 1 is a Quest in Yo-kai Watch 2. The quest can be started by talking to Meg in Springdale Central Station in Downtown Springdale. It is recommended to be completed around Level 11.
Quest[]
Meg asks the protagonist if they're busy, stating she's going to an audition for Springdale Star later on. She explains being a pop star has always been her dream. Meg asks the protagonist to come and cheer her on. The protagonist accepts, Meg stating she thinks the way to win is to charm the judges. Whisper suggests that they use Yo-kai power to really help Meg along. He suggests Shmoopie to make Meg charmingly cute.
The protagonist returns with Shmoopie in tow, using his inspirit on Meg. The protagonist and Whisper soon realise Shmoopie's affect may be too much, making Meg sickeningly cute. Meg asks the protagonist if they remembered where the audition went but they tell her she never told them. She states that when you're as cute as she is you don't need to remember things, other people do it for you. She states that the words 'Merry Music' ring a bell.
The protagonist finds Meg outside a shop with the name 'Merry Music' written outside. The two are curious whether it really is the right place. Lulu then appears and susses out that the two are auditioning too and is mad Meg didn't tell her. The two then declare each other rivals. Whisper notes something is up and Tongus appears, Inspiriting Lulu. Meg gains confidence that she can do the audition alone, telling the protagonist that she'll meet with them later that night.
In the evening, the protagonist returns to find Meg and Lulu. Meg tells them she made it past the first audition. She is thankful for them being there for her. Meg tells them that Lulu made it through too but doesn't sound very enthused, making Lulu mad. Meg asks the protagonist to cheer her on for the next audition too.

During quest[]
- Meg has an audition to become the next Springdale Star, and she asked for my support. The Yo-kai idol Shmoopie might be just what she needs! He'll be up a tree in Downtown Springdale!
- Meg's been Inspirited by Shmoopie, but now she's so obsessed with her own cuteness, she can't remember where the audition is! Can we find Merry Music before she misses her chance?!
- While looking for Merry Music, we ran into Meg's best friend - and rival - Lulu! Their competitive spirit was fierce! I can't wait to hear how the auditions go this evening at Merry Music!
Quest complete[]
- Thanks to Shmoopie and Tongus, both Meg and Lulu made it through the first round! Which is great...except that it means their rivalry will continue. The battle to be Springdale Star continues!
Guidance[]
- Shmoopie can be found in trees in Downtown Springdale. His favourite food is Hamburgers. Shmoopie is a Rank C Yo-kai so the quest Go for Rank C! must be completed first.
- Once befriended, return to Meg where you first found her.
- Go to the trio of shops (which include Frostia's Place) west of the station and talk to Meg.
- At night, return to the same place as before.
