Sweattuce may also be a reference to American fitness instructor and celebrity Richard Simmons who is known for his dance-like aerobics regimens and wearing tank tops and shorts much like Sweattuce’s. Sweattuce’s “hair” is also reminiscent of Richard Simmons’ perm.
