For the second video below,
Impressive, most impressive.
Guys... apparently Yo-kai Watch!, contrary to what the summary for the first episode implies, is NOT a reboot. Actually, it turned out Wazzat bit on Nate's head, but couldn't let it go, and Whisper and the other Yo-kai's weird expressions were attempts to get him to notice them. However, Nate's previous Watch is gone, so Whisper gives him the model of the Yo-kai Watch Elda.
These are all from before the opening sequence, by the way.
Well I guess this board is ireleveant now. I'll make a new one!
Well, my thoughts about the first episode?
I kinda like it, but at the same time, it didn't feel at home with how it was presented, as it was kinda supposed to be a "reboot", but it felt more like a prequel to Yo-kai Watch Shadowside. (Prequel being that it takes place before the Shadowside movie, but took place after the last episode of the original Yo-kai Watch anime.) It just didn't seem the way I hoped it'd be...

Well... it was never directly stated it was a reboot, only that Perfectly Nintendo got official information, but misinterpreted it. The same thing happened when the Shadowside movie was announced (thanks to Jacob Spencer). This only discloses how much of a riot could cause poorly-interpreted-and-given news. That's why I always stay loyal to Anime News Network.

So, it's kinda more towards a prequel, if you think about it?

Yes, it's a prequel to Shadowside and a sequel to the original anime.

So, my thoughts hadn't failed me this whole time.

In case anybody's wondering, there's a Yo-kai Watch! discussion thread now
