  • I'm getting confused Right now, I'm starting to wonder if Natsume and her family and friends are ether living in Springdale or Sakura Motomachi. The Category says that Natsume, Akinori, and Touma are Sprigdale Residents , but I'm confused. Are they in Springdale or Sakura Motomachi? What do you guys say?

    • isn't that

supposed to be that springdale is just localized language for sakura city???? and sakura motomachi is like... the future springdale???

    • springdale and sakura motomachi are the same place. shadowside, yw4 and forever friends haven't been localized yet, so we use the japanese names when talking about it. it will be changed to the localized name (springdale) if it gets released outside of japan.

    • i do agree that would be good to use "sakura" and don't "springdale" until it's release the official localize. kinda obvious but it's just to avoid fan/unofficial something name

    • So you guys are saying that Springdale and Sakura Motomachi are the same?

    • Alright then should we merge the articles Springdale and Sakura Motomachi

    • Is it the same thing? Springdale is spelt like さくらニュータウン in Japanese while Sakura Motomachi is spelt like さくら元町.

From what I can tell, Sakura-motomachi is in the past, given how Motomachi means Original Town and Springdale is called Sakura New Town in Japanese. In YW2, Old Springdale was refered to in Japanese as 桜町 (Sakura-machi) so did it change it's name twice?

i just now know the part of the kanji means original h. i guess the article about it should give more sense about the informations, is about the setting of the time(i mean as shadowside for future, FF/first movie for past) so it will makes no confuse. for what i think about it

      I agree with KonoShipsKomaFessor.

Sakura Motomachi is most likely just Springdale in the future, as Springdale's Japanese name is Sakura Nyū Taun (Sakura New Town).

They're both called Sakura, so unless that's a popular city name, I don't see how it could be just a coincidence.
