True Hide-and-Seek is a Key Quest that is part of the story of Yo-kai Watch 2. The quest can be started by talking to a boy called Speedy Boy on Harry Hill, south of the rice paddies in Harrisville and is recommended to be completed around Level 10 Since it is a Key Quest, the player is forced to complete it to progress with the story.

Quest

A boy called Speedy Boy asks the protagonist if they're new to the village, asking them to join in on their hide-and-seek game. He tells them to catch six of them in two minutes.

This minigame can be repeated on sunny afternoons. In the rematch, the boy tasks the protagonist with catching twelve of them in three minutes. The player will be rewarded with an item for rematches.

Pre-quest

• There's a local kid looking for people to play hide-and-seek with on Harry Hill in Harrisville! I should go and play with him sometime! It's best to play hide-and-seek on sunny afternoons!
• Kids in Harrisville are gathering to play the ultimate game of hide-and-seek!

Quest complete

• I won the game of hide-and-seek in Harrisville! It was so much fun-and it sounds like the local kids want me to play with them again! Sunny afternoons are the best for hide-and-seek!

  There are sixteen kids on the map
• Try to save your stamina until you are close by someone
• Two kids are down the path below where the player starts and will run in opposite directions
• One is on the western road that meets with the yellow path on the map
• One kid is behind the house, standing still, at the far south-west of the map
• One kid is on the western road at the western part of the curve
• One kid is at the fork in the path west of the eastern bush that blocks the path
• One kid is in the south-west path north of the trees, standing still
• One adult is in the southern most part of the road in the south-east
• One kid is hiding behind a tree just below the road where the road curves westward, standing still
• One kid is at the fork in the path two spots below the path to Grandma's House
• One kid is in the far east by the bush that blocks the path, standing still
• One kid is in the south-eastern section in the northern dead end, standing still
• One kid is in the far south-east, hidden from the player, standing still
• One kid is in the east of the far south-eastern section that is blocked off, standing still

Trivia

• This is the first hide-and-seek quest in Yo-kai Watch 2 if Directator's All-Star Cast is not counted (as it has a hide-and-seek section but is not named such)
• This is the first repeatable quest in Yo-kai Watch 2
