Biology [ ]
Wazzat is a green Yo-kai that resembles a top hat. He has thick and gummy purple lips that form the brim with scattered square teeth. He has a red bow or ribbon around it to act like Wazzat's nose. On top are two eye-stalks with swirled eyes.
He has the power to "eat" anyone's memory, causing them to become forgetful. He does this by biting or sitting on top of their head. When he does, a very light blue mist comes from his eyestalks. He can remove memories selectively, but sometimes he can do it by accident when his intent is pure.

Etymology [ ]
"Wasurenbo" is a combination of wasurenbō (Japanese : 忘れん坊 , "forgetful person" ) and bō (Japanese : 帽 , "headwear" ) .
"Wazzat" is a corruption of the English phrase "What's that?" combined with hat .
"Komemo" is a contraction of "Comer Memorias" (Eat Memories).
"Amnesimon" as a combination of "Amnesie" (amnesia) and the name Simon.
"Chaipô" is a portmanteau of chapeau (hat) and chais pas , a familiar way of saying je ne sais pas (I don't know).
"Dimenticap" is a combination of "dimenticare" (to forget) and "cap."
"Amnola" is a combination of "Amnésia" (amnesia) and "Cartola" (Topper).
Origin [ ]
Wazzat being originally a discarded hat references the tsukumogami, a species of youkai that are born from inanimate objects (hats, mirrors, scissors, etc.) that have been discarded and later gained sentience after a set amount of time.
Trivia [ ]
Wazzat's "random" nicknames in Yo-kai Watch 2 are: Forgetti, Amnesi, Memoreat, and Cappy.
Wazzat, along with Peckpocket , Baku , Wiglin and Lodo are the few, if not only Yo-kai whose Medals change color from Grey to Green upon Evolution .
