Weather is an application on the Yo-kai Pad introduced in Yo-kai Watch 2. It shows information about the current weather type, along with any notifications or weather events.

Overview[]

The weather application allows the player to see the current weather type, which refreshes each in-game day and affects what NPCs, Quests and Fish or Insects appear. The player can view the weather of different regions as well as the weather for that day and the next. If the weather changes throughout the day, a red arrow will be displayed to show the shift and what the new weather will be. There can only be one weather type at a time, as opposed to weather events, which modify parts of the game where up to 4 can appear at once. When there aren't any weather events a message will be shown.

In the games[]

Yo-kai Watch 2[]

The Weather application makes its debut in Yo-kai Watch 2. The player can view the weather for Springdale, Harrisville, San Fantastico and Old Springdale. It is usually hosted by a female weather reporter but can sometimes be hosted by a member of Next HarMEOWny. It is unlocked by talking to Jibanyan inside the player's home after Chapter 1 The Vanishing Watch is completed.

Yo-kai Watch 3[]

The Weather Application returns in Yo-kai Watch 3 with a few differences. The player can now view the weather for BBQ with a separate weather reporter.

Weather Events[]

Yo-kai Watch 2[]

Weather events randomly happen every day. If there are two or more events happening simultaneously, you will be able to scroll through them. Note that the events aren't set, meaning that if you save and reload you will get a different outcome.

Terror Time: Advisory[]

It has the description "Update! A demon's been spotted in the area!", and requires the player to have unlocked the Blasters app. It means that Terror Time will occur in around 6 minutes or under. Note that the timer doesn't continue in certain places.

Terror Time: Warning[]

It means that Terror Time will occur in ~3 minutes or under.

Yo-kai Advisory[]

It has the description "The Yo-kai are feelin' wild today! Be on your guard!". It means that Yo-kai will be encountered more frequently, being 2 levels higher.

Yo-kai Warning[]

It has the description "The Yo-kai in this area are seeing red! It's fight time.". It means that Yo-kai will be encountered more frequently, being 5 levels higher than usual.

Bugs: Swarming![]

It has the description "Oh boy, it is BUGGY today! Don't forget your net!". It boosts Insect spawn rates and the chance for ★ Insects to appear.

Fish: Good Fishing![]

It has the description "The fish are jumping today! Grab that fishing rod!". It boosts Fish spawn rates and the chance for ★ Fish to appear.

Slippery Floors![]

It increases the chance for the player to slip. It is just as rare, if not rarer than Light Rain.

Messages[]

Messages appear when no Weather events are active, they rotate every single in-game day in order, even if there is a Weather event that day. Each weather event is done by a separate member of Next HarMEOWny.

Trivia[]

  • One of the weather events calls the Terror Time Oni a demon, while this is technically correct, it's inconsistent with what they're usually called outside of Terror Time.
