Whatuption (Japanese: あそっ火山, Asokkazan) is a Rank B, Fire-attribute Rare Local Yo-kai of the Tough tribe introduced in Yo-kai Watch 2.
Whatuption evolves from Whateverest when fused with a Terracotta Figure.
In Yo-kai Watch World, he is one of the Yo-kai required to unlock Slurpent.

Etymology[]
- "Asokkazan" is a combination of asokka ("really now!") and kazan (火山, volcano).
- "Whatuption" is a combination of "What's up?" and eruption.
- "Inverestupción" is a combination of "Interés" (interest) and "Mt. Everest" with "Erupción" (eruption).
- "Moncurioso" is a combination of "Monte" (mount) and "curioso" (curious).
- "Krakatouaaah" is a portmanteau of "Krakatoa" (volcano located in Indonesia) and "ahhh" (an expression that can express curiosity).
- "Wissuv" is a portmanteau of "wissbegierig" (curious or inquisitive) and possibly a coruption of "Suwanosejima" (active volcano in Japan).
Trivia[]
- Whatuption's "random" nicknames in Yo-kai Watch 2 are: Ashton, Mt. OMG, Buster, and Kabluey.
- Whatuption does not have a real life medal counterpart.
- However the data for the now defunct Medalland included his medal and his medal art, making him the only unreleased medal with such data.
