Which Beetle's Better is a request in Yo-kai Watch 2. The quest giver is a kid, who is located at the schoolyard in Old Harrisville.

Quest Description[]

The request begins![]

Beetle superiority was a hot topic 60 years Ago. These boys can't decide which one is cooler: the Rhino Beetle or the Stag Beetle. It's time for me to settle this age-old dispute!

Changing the other's mind![]

Rhino or Stag Beetles? It's a tough choice. I chose Stag/Rhino, and the boy in the Rhino/Stag Beetle Camp isn't too happy. Maybe if I show him a rare ★Miyama Stag/★Rhino Beetle, he'll change HIS mind...

All beetles are cool![]

The Rhino/Stag Beetle fan admitted that the ★Miyama Stag/★Rhino Beetle is pretty cool. Now the little beetle has a new home where it's sure to be loved. And who knows? It could become a Yo-kai one day...

Plot[]

Starting the Request[]

In Old Harrisville at School yard young girl see 2 boys fighting over which beetle they favor is better and ask the player if they care about them arguing and asks if they want to get involved in the situation. After accepting the request the girl tells the player good luck and hopes their beetle wins.

Picking a side[]

Siding with the Stag Beetles[]

When you talk to the Stag Fan and agree with him that his beetle is better, the Rhino Fan says he wants to see a ★Miyama Stag to prove to him Stag Beetles are better. the Stag Fan then claims to have one as a pet and said he named it Melody and tells the Rhino Fan that the Player has seen it as well. After that the Stag Fan whispers to the Player to catch one and quickly and bring it back to him.

Siding with the Rhino Beetles[]

When you talk to the Rhino Fan and agree with him that his beetle is better, the Stag Fan says he wants to see a ★Rhino Beetle to prove to him that Rhino Beetles are better. the Rhino Fan then claims to have one as a pet and said he named it Rufus and tells the Stag Fan that the Player has seen it as well. After that the Rhino Fan whispers to the Player to catch one and quickly and bring it back to him.

Request End[]

After handing over the the beetle to the boy you chose sides with, the opposing beetle fan admits and says that the beetle the other boys favors is cool, after that the boy you sided with also admits to the other boy that the beetle he favors is also cool. After that both boys apologies for starting the argument and the one you sided with says he'll take good care of the beetle you gave him. After that Whisper tells the player the Beetle might become a Yo-kai because the love that the boy has for it may cause it to become a yo-kai after it dies, after that the quest ends, but if you go to the Harrisville School Yard in the present (after getting a rank B yo-kai watch) you will find either Beetler or Rhinoggin (depending on which beetle you chose) and he will say that he was the beetle that you gave the boy 60 years ago and after that you will automatically befriend him and he will give you his medal and after befriending him the player then tells him that he really is cool.

Talk to the girl at the Old Harrisville School Yard
Talk to either the Stag Fan or the Rhino Fan
Give the Stag Fan a ★Miyama Stag/Give the Rhino Fan a ★Rhino Beetle (quest officially ends there)
(optional) Go to the Harrisville School Yard in the Present (after getting a Rank B Yo-kai watch) to find Beetler/Rhinoggin
