Biology[]
This version of Whisper is pale and ghost-like, similar to his appearance in the present series, but he lacks the thick, black line between his eyes and the blue lips, though he does sport a similar, creepy grin.
He has purple hair on top of his head, which is in a wisp-like hairstyle. He also appears to have a hollow nose, similar to a skull, and two yellow eyes with white pupils. His ears are pointy, and his fully defined hands have long, sharp nails.
He wears a black suit that melts seamlessly into his ghostly tail, similar to Verygoodsir, with a white undershirt, and a pink bowtie.
This form has been referred to as his Shadowside form in promotional materials once, when it was first revealed. However, it hasn't been referred to as his Shadowside form officially since then, so it is likely this was either a mistake or an early concept that was changed later.
There has been no mention of his Lightside form.
At some point after events of the present series, Whisper has become a servant of Lord Enma, serving him alongside Zazel.

Yo-kai Watch Shadowside the Movie: The Return of the Oni King[]
Whisper is a major Yo-kai in Yo-kai Watch Shadowside: The Return of the Oni King.

Yo-kai Watch Shadowside[]
In the Shadowside anime, Whisper continues his role of acting as Summer's Yo-kai Butler and guide. He, Junior and Sly appear to get along well.

Yo-kai Watch Shadowside the Movie: The Return of the Oni King[]
Whisper makes his debut in MM04 where he plays a similar role as in the anime. He is working for Enma and Zazel and is tasked with giving the Yo-kai Watch Arcane to a human. He gives it to Summer as well as Jibanyan's keystone.
Yo-kai Watch Shadowside[]
Whisper appears in Bourei Banchou where it is revealed he was fired from being Summer's Yo-kai butler after following her into the bathroom and now follows Tate around instead. He joins Tate as they search for the Yo-kai Bourei Banchou.

Trivia[]
- He shares his voice actor with the present-past version of Whisper.
- Similar to his present-past self, Shadowside Whisper still can not provide the necessary information without the help of his Yokai Pad.
- In Yo-kai Watch Wibble Wobble he is called "Whisper 2040", possibly referencing the year Yo-kai Watch Shadowside takes place in.
- This further proves that the original series is set in the 2010s.
- Despite clearly having memories of Jibanyan in the movie, Whisper does not seem to have any contact with or memories of Nate. Though, since he remembers Jibanyan, it is likely he remembers Nate too.
- In SS001, he describes Tate as someone familiar, without knowing that he is in fact, Nate's son.
- He does not appear as often as he does in the original series.
- According to Junior in the seventh episode, Whisper smells like an old man.
- This makes sense, since the earliest point in time we've seen Whisper was when he was still Whispocrates in EP047 of the original anime, which took place from 1590-1600. Which would make Shadowside Whisper at least 450 years old.
- Out of all the Shadowside Yo-kai, Whisper is the only one whose personality has not drastically changed from the one in the original series.
- He and Sly are fans of dad jokes and showing off their muscles together.
