Wind It Back 60 Years! is the fifth chapter of Yo-kai Watch 2.
Story[]
Hovernyan finishes his doughnut and explains the friend he wants the protagonist to help - their grandfather. The protagonist states that their grandfather is dead but Hovernyan states that they can go into the past. Hovernyan shows them a Time Stone as they travel back in time. The three of them arrive in Old Harrisville and look inside their grandfather's house to find him but no one is home. Hovernyan suggests they go to his secret base nearby. Outside the house, the three see a strange man walking towards them. Hovernyan explains the person has been Inspirited by a Wicked Yo-kai. Something jumps out of the man and Inspirits Whisper. As he approaches the group, someone appears, thwacking Whisper with a stick and removing the Inspirit. The boy strikes a pose and runs off, Hovernyan telling them to follow. They head to the base in Ninja Forest and meet their grandfather. He finds out the protagonist is their ancestor and is mad, saying they don't need help. He leaves and the rest of them follow but he is gone. Whisper suggests they go back to the base to find clues as to where he's gone. After looking at their grandfather's notes, they decide to head to Old Springdale. The four of them have to walk all the way to Harrisville station as there's no bus. Hovernyan then explains that he used his only time stone to bring the protagonist here. They're shocked, worried they're now stuck in his era but he explains there is a time travelling Yo-kai somewhere around the station. The protagonist finds him with their Yo-kai Lens, finding Miradox. Miradox then gives the protagonist their medal.
The protagonist takes the train to Old Springdale, Whisper noting that their grandfather mentioned three places in his notebook: Timers & More, Mount Wildwood Shrine and Springdale Ironworks. This starts three Key Quests. After completing the quests, the protagonist notes they never ran into their grandfather. They decide to return to the secret base to find him.
The protagonists grandfather is there and is annoyed to see them at first however is intrigued by the Heckapeño. Hovernyan reveals he covers his stick in peppers to fight Wicked Yo-kai and people Inspirited by them. They ask where he was and he says he was training in the forest which is why they didn't see him while out and about. The protagonist gives him the watch parts and he says he'll finish the Yo-kai Watch.

"We've gone back in time! Hovernyan turned the clock back 60 years, but it hasn't really sunk in yet. I'm supposed to be helping my grandpa, but how do I do that exactly?"
Wicked Yo-kai[]
"Just what are these Wicked Yo-kai? I can't see them with the Yo-kai Watch, and Whisper's been Inspirited! How am I supposed to fight these things?!"
Creating the Yo-kai Watch[]
"I met my grandpa Nathaniel/Kenny, but he's a bit different than how Grandma described him. We've collected all the pieces for the Yo-kai Watch, so can Grandpa make it for me?"
Moximous and Bold Basher[]
"Nathaniel/Kenny says he'll make the Yo-kai Watch since he can see me as Bold Basher, Moximous's sidekick. He sure is crazy about that superhero..."
