Giant Robots Are Our Youth! (Japanese: 巨大ロボこそ青春だ！ Kyodai Robo Koso Seishunda!) is the 11th episode of the Y School Heroes anime series. It was broadcasted in Japan on March 13, 2020.
Summary[]
Reports are coming in that Y-Academy's robotic form, Gakkouger Y has finally been repaired after the meteor incident. The headmaster calls the YSP Club as pilots again for a secret testing operation at 5:00AM. This was eavesdropped by Tetsu Kiyoda, head of the Giant Robo Research Club, who sees an opportunity to fulfill his awaited passion.
Plot[]
Gakkouger Y's repairs from its battle damage from its previous appearance is complete, and Kinya wants the YSP Club to give it a test run. Tetsu Kiyoda wants to pilot it, but is not allowed to by his father. Wanting to pilot a giant robot after being humiliated as a kid by his father only driving a forklift, instead of a super robot like he promised to, he stows away onboard, accidentally dropping hints of the time when the robot would be tested to a nearby Nena.
The next day at dawn, Nena and Nukio see Gakkouger Y transform as Jinpei and co. mess around with it, until Tetsu tries to wrestle control of the robot from Jinpei.
Meanwhile, Nayu summons the Uchu Kaiju, Moguramos (which they thought was a test monster, until Kinya said otherwise), from a discreet area, nearly killing the 2 reporters. Gakkouger Y is initially beaten hard (in spite of Gonzu intervening to save them), prompting Kinya to activate the Solar Magnum, but due to the test happening before dawn, the weapon isn't powered up enough. Jinpei and Fubuki transform into Wild Boy and Clock Lady outside, while on its shoulder to stall for time.
Wild Boy tries firing bullets at Moguramos, but they prove no effect as he evades the Uchu Kaiju's mud bombs. Clock Lady then slows him down with "Time Bind", allowing the sun to rise and recharge the weapon, which Mera allows Tetsu to fire, defeating the Uchu Kaiju.
Later, Tetsu goes to see his father, and realises he was wrong about believing what other people said about his father not piloting a super robot. The episode concludes as Tetsu and Jinpei start a rivalry for who can pilot the robot, much to Fubuki's displeasure. Later, Nayu erases any documentation of the encounter.

- This is the first appearance of Gakkouger Y in the series proper.
- Tetsu's toy resembles a pharaoh and a robot, likely paying homage to Sarcophacurse, a Yo-kai who has similar traits.
- However, its design resembles Tetsujin 28-go.
- Gakkouger Y's Solar Magnum appears to be based on Optimus Prime's signature Ion Blaster, while the shield being round may be a nod to Captain America's.
