A Must-See for Gamers! An Assassin Is Coming!! (Japanese: ゲーマー必見！アサシン来るーど！！ Gēmā Hikken! Asashin Kuru ̄ to!!) is the 14th episode of the Y School Heroes anime series. It was broadcasted in Japan on April 3, 2020.
Summary[]
The YY Selection Festival, a club solicitation event for new students, was held. Jinpei and his colleagues came to the clubroom of the game study group, where they could test-play new VR games. The director Horikoshi UG was greeted, and Jinpei and the others immediately logged in to the game. When Jinpei, who had enjoyed the test play completely, went outside, the alarm suddenly rang out. What, the strong enemy character that was in the game "Dark Assassin" appeared in the real world, and has started to attack the students!?
Plot[]
The YY Selection Festival is out in full swing as Jinpei, Mataro, Sandayu and Fubuki browse the various booths the clubs have set up, and eventually visit the Game Study Group to test out the game developed by UG Horikoshi, with the 4 being assigned the roles of warrior, slime (to his chagrin), mage and healer respectively.
In the VR game, they are greeted by the built in A.I., Aini, who guides them to an NPC who requests them to slay a werewolf (which they do with Aini's guidance). Suddenly, they are attacked by Dark Assassin, a time-dependent, tough enemy who rewards a lot of EXP Points when defeated. Jinpei gets hurt by the Dark Assassin and healed by Sandayu. After Dark Assassin withstands Fubuki's Ice Magic and Mataro's tackle attack, Jinpei defeats the enemy, and they leave the game as Jinpei was hungry.
However, as soon as they got out, the group are alerted to Dark Assassin hurting people on campus and with UG, seek out its location. Jinpei and Koma then try to fight the Dark Assassin, but it flees due to the time being up. Jinpei tries to carry the injured student to the sick bay, only for the group to find that its full due to the Assassin's attacks, and are ordered by Ms. Enra (who suspects its a YSP case) to solve it.
After barely failing to catch the Dark Assassin from attempting to attack Kinya, UG realises that Jinpei, Mataro, Sanadyu and Fubuki are next after realising Dark Assassin's targets have all played the VR game. They stake out the Onryo at the gym where Wampus, Momo and Goromi ambush the Dark Assassin.
Jinpei rips off the Dark Assassin's shroud to reveal its identity: an android with realistic poses from an earlier fashion club presentation. UG eventually deduces its Aini who is the culprit, but not long after they try to solve the issue, Haruhiko turns the robot into Jigoku Assassin to attack them.
The transformed Onryo soon proves to be too much for Kengo Benimaru, who is overwhelmed by its ferocious attacks and shadow stitching moves, but with the intervention of Clock Lady (who disarms and weakens it via Time Bind), he is able to turn the tables and defeat the Onyro with Furious Horizontal Slash.
It was revealed that Aini left the VR world because he suffered from some sort of separation anxiety: he wasn’t willing to let the people he interacted with leave. After Mataro promised they’d visit, Aini began ascending, but UG stopped him from doing so by fulfilling his wish by converting him to a chat bot app, with the episode ending with Jinpei giving him overly trivial questions that he struggling to answer, much to the chagrin of the rest.
