The Tragic War Princess, Elzemekia's Finale (Japanese: 悲しき戦姫エルゼメキアの最期 Kanashiki Senhime Eruzemekia no Saigo) is the 47th episode of the Y School Heroes anime series. It was broadcasted in Japan on November 27, 2020.

Summary[]

Thanks to the Earth Alliance Student Council's intervention of Ranto's execution and the Twinkle Star Castle destroyed, Elzemekia commences the final phase of the invasion. With her backstory revealed previously, Elzemekia becomes more determined to protect her home planet no matter the cost. Now transforming into Zodiaraia and abandoning her host's body, Elzemekia challenged Jinpei, Ranto and the heroes team in a final showdown, except with a slight upgrade by Mazera.

Plot[]

Elzemkeia came right out of the UFO sitting high up in the sky above Y-Academy, and declared war on the gang. She said that she gave them a chance, and stated that they were the ones who had chosen death. Elzemekia, at random, begins to attack Y-Academy and destroys it. Ranto and the YSP members are horrified by the scene, and Elzemekia says she'll do anything to protect her homeplanet no matter what it takes, for the sake of Annan and Ozero. Elzemekia transforms into Zodiaraia, and left Elna Amami's body, saying that she didn't need her body anymore.

Zodiaraia tells Shinobu to take good care of Elna Amami, and right below her, Shinbou stood there and complied. She then tells Mazera that she'll destroy the planet at the cost of her life, and that she'll do what she can for him. Then, a red wave from the fiery black hole strikes Zodiaraia, and she is enveloped in a disastrous red aura. Fubuki notes that it seemed like a lot of energy was poured into Zodiaraia, and a voice didn't like that, saying they could feel it coming from Mazera. The voice came from Mikettio, who said he's never felt an evil spirit before, except from within himself. During this time, Ranto quickly took command and had the school completely evacuated.

Ranto and Jinpei transform into DS Galaxy and Earth Walker, and Earth Walker fights Zodiaraia with "Crash Yo-Yo", but she seems to be the better fighter. DS Galaxy comments on how Mazera gave her power, DS Galaxy then pulls out a new item, a sword called "Dark Blade". While attacking with the sword, Earth Walker supports him with his yo-yo, and Zodiaraia comments on how coordinated attacks are a pretty smart way to fight. As expected, she was no match for DS Galaxy and Earth Walker's two-man team, and Zodiaraia sees that her odds are bad and asks Mazera for more power. When she held out her hand, Mazera responded and Zodiaraia was granted more power, summoning minions called "Elze Shadowman".

Earth Walker hesitates, wondering how to deal with the minions, Mera calls out to him that he's there to help. Mera, Rysukue, Fubuki, Sandayu, Chiaki, and Nozu all transform, the 8 of them fight the Elze Shadowman, but are no match against them. The six who joined in later, due to a difference in ability, their transformations are reverted. Fubuki notes how they can't compete against them, and Chiaki says that they can't give up just yet. Chiaki stands to his feet and Mera asks what he's doing, to which he replies that he will fight to the bitter end.

Chiaki rushes into the Elze Shadowman with no plan, and Zodiaraia releases a flash that pierces Chiaki in the chest, leaving Nozu in shock. Zodiaraia claims that what they're doing is not fighting, but is suicide, as Nozu yells out Chiaki's name. Meanwhile, Mataro is riding the monorail alone and on his arm is the UR Watch GAI, with T-Dus standing next to him. T-Dus asks if he's that proud of his watch, and Mataro says that he got it adjusted at Y-Lab, so now the power will be more consistent. When Mataro looked out the window of the train car, he could see black smoke rising from the Y-Academy building.

T-Dus wonders if it's Elzemekia's doing, and tells Mataro to come on. Mataro immediately transforms into T-Dine and flies away. Earth Walker and DS Galaxy are struggling against the Elze Shadowman, then T-Dine descends from the sky. The members are de-transformed, demoralized, and exhausted, and T-Dine asks what they're doing here. Mera apologizes, saying that they can't help fight, and T-Dine suggests on bringing out their potential. Then, T-Dine held his hand in front of Mera's face, and a light like the sun enveloped him, and he comments on how powerful T-Dine is.

T-Dine states that the latent GAI energy within them has been released, and if they're experienced in combat to begin with, then they should be able to use it to their full potential. Mera thanks T-Dine for his help, T-Dine then performed the energy release on Rysukue, Fubuki and Sandayu. Mera and Ryusuke were fired up to beat Zodiaraia, and for a moment, they joined their fists together, and 2 command medals appeared. All the YSP members transformed once again, and they joined Earth Walker and DS Galaxy in their fight against the Elze Shadowman. Unlike before, the others and DS Galaxy were able to defeat the Elze Shadowman with their overwhelming power.

Zodiaraia questions why they are all getting more powerful, and Shishi O and Ninetail use "Defeat Soten Boisterous Dance". The minions all disappeared due to the success of the YSP members, and Zodiaraia was all who was left. She kept on repeating "not yet" over and over again, until she was struck by another red wave. Nozu was in the shadow of the school building, holding Chiaki and telling him to pull himself together. T-Dine notes how Chiaki seems to have taken a lot of damage, and to leave things to him, then T-Dine holds his hand over Chiaki and bathes him in the sun's rays along with Nozu, and Chiaki regains consciousness.

As soon as he realizes this, Chiaki then tries to go after Zodiaraia again, saying that he can do this. T-Dine tells Chiaki to wait, as the thoughts of vengeance will only bring ruin to him. Chiaki states that he knows what it means to be vengeful, but that it's more than just that if he wasn't. Chiaki says that he's just trying to save the planet with his buddies, that he got a little ahead of himself, and that he appreciated T-Dine's help. T-Dine understands, saying that fighting isn't bad, but that it's a practice. Zodiaraia is trying to break Little Kommander's arm, and T-Dine immediately comes to his rescue.

Sky Snaker and The Viper use "Heavy Double Screw", creating a tornado, and the two combine to form a huge tornado that swallows Zodiaraia, who gets slammed into the school building. Zodiaraia is frustrated with this, saying that they'll keep coming at her with all their might and without even thinking, just doing. DS Galaxy says that no matter what it takes, they will defeat her, as the Earth is their planet. Zodiaraia asks if they think that they're protecting their homeplanet, which DS Galaxy questions, and she says that the inevitable despair looms before us. Zodiaraia then says that she's trying to save them, which Ranto questions, and Mataro asks what she means.

Zodiaraia says that no matter how hard a cat tries, it can't beat a tiger because their strength is of a different dimension, therefore, understanding and obeying them will keep them from being eaten alive. Ranto says that's her, them and the Earth, and Zodiaraia says that there are some things in this world that are out of our control. Zodiaraia is completely debilitated by the coordinated attacks of the YSP members, even Earth Walker and DS Galaxy attacked without mercy. Zodiaraia, unable to resist, flees to the rooftop of the school building. She says that it's only just a scratch, her chest appears to have a fatal wound from the "Dark Blade".

Mera states that it's time for the evil general to pay her dues, to which Mr. Usumizawa tells them all to wait. Mr. Usumizawa says "With all due respect, she is a noble warrior who fights with a tremendous burden on her shoulders". Mr. Uzumizawa suddenly appeared beside Earth Walker, and he asks who's side he's on. Zodiaraia says she won't let them kill her here, and asks Mazera for help once again, and she is struck again with a red wave. Zodiaraia notes that her body can no longer withstand the power of Mazera, and her face turns pale as she falls to her knees.

Mazera says that's as far as it goes, and Zodiaraia says that she can still do this, and begs to him. In an exchange of epic proportions, Mataro asks why she went so far, then Mataro's mind was filled with the image of the fiery blackhole on the planet Koori. T-Dine notes that Zodiaraia is also a victim of Mazera's, and Ranto claims that it's the end for Elzemekia, to which Mataro tells him to wait, and that she isn't really a bad guy. Ranto says that the aliens killed his family and many innocent people, then DS Galaxy raises "Dark Blade" and lunges at the slumped Zodiaraia. Zodiaraia jumps and barely dodges, only to be cut down by DS Galaxy in a flash from behind.

Zodiaraia notes that she lost, and Ranto says that now it's time for him to avenge what she took from him, and she asks if she did take everything away. Ranto's hatred doesn't stop, though, and he asks why his family had to be killed from seeing a UFO. Zodiaraia says that what they saw wasn't just a UFO, that it was a new type of UFO packed with an interstellar flight system called the "Nebula Drive", and Ranto asks if that's why. Ranto is still very angry, then T-Dine stands in front of DS Galaxy, and Mataro says that Elzemekia was trying to save the Earth in her own way. Ranto asks what Mataro means, Earth Walker then says to go see what's in her heart, and he uses "Memorial Jump".

Earth Walker took all the YSP members with him, and they went into Elzemekia's memory, and they all learned everything that had happened to Elze. Fubuki was surprised to know what happened, that Elzemekia was also threatened, and Ranto saw that she too had a reason to fight. Zodiaraia asks Ranto what's the matter, and if he wants to beat her, to pierce her in the chest. Saying this, Zodiaraia stands up, but DS Galaxy isn't moving at all. She then asks if he's trying to be merciful, and that she's decided to take the Earth for her homeplanet, and if he's also fighting for his planet that there isn't a need to hesitate.

Ranto says that now that he knows her situation, that he can't fight her. Mazera then says that her and her planet are no more, that she'll receive his power and become Mazera Titan, the immaculate god. Then, it seems that the "power of change" was sent to Zodiaraia and she begins to suffer. Zodiaraia tells Ranto to defeat her now, otherwise, her body'll be controlled by Mazera, and she'll become an evil god of killing. Ranto asks her why, and she tells him to pierce her with his sword, then Zodiaraia screams in agony. Ranto yells out in frustration, and Mataro tells him not to, and again T-Dine jumps in front of DS Galaxy.

Mataro says that they should find a way to save Elzemekia without killing her, and T-Dus tells him that they have no choice but to defeat her, and Mataro states that he's not going to move. T-Dus seems to have restrained Mataro's body, and he's unable to move, and tells Ranto to free Elzemekia from the evil one. Mataro screams out "no", and amidst Mataro's exclamations, DS Galaxy pushes forward with the "Dark Blade" in hand. Zodiaraia quietly closes her eyes, imagines of her homeplanet, Koori with a smiling Annan and Prince Ozero. The Dark Blade has pierced Zodiaraia, and Ranto holds onto the spirit of Queen Elze, and she thanks Ranto, wishing that she had courage like him to fight 'til the end.

Ranto hugs Elze while saying he will honor her wishes and sorrows, as Elze . It's now dusk on the rooftop of Y-Academy, and Zodiaraia's lifeless body is lying on the rooftop. Elze then tells them to please defeat Mazera, and says "farewell, brave stars", then Kuka comes up to Ranto. Elze points to Kuka and says that she likes her, but that she liked the chubby one better. The group watches, as Kuka and Mr. Usumizawa are crying. Shinobu is also crying, as he also saw everything, saying to himself that he was happy to work by her side. Ranto notes that Elzemekia too was a victim, and Nayu says that they must take down Mazera to prevent any more tragedies from occurring in the universe.

The next day at Y-Academy, Kinya announces the abolishment of the Twinkle Star Republic following Elzemekia's defeat, and that all students must remain vigilant while the school is being rebuilt. The YSP club members relax through the momentary respite, but Jinpei quickly perks up that as long as they work together, anything is possible, to which everyone smiles at his optimism. In the Student Council Room, Ranto recalled Zodiaraia's last words as he ponders about how much power does Mazera have. Mataro narrates that a peaceful time passed through the school, but it was nothing more than a momentary respite.
