Peace has been restored on Earth after the Mazera Hazard has been neutralized and school life in Y-Academy has returned back to normal. This lasted short when an over-flustered Mataro makes a fuss in the clubroom about seeing someone identical to Jinpei with a cat-like Yo-kai on his way to school. The club members wonder about the issue until a hungry Jinpei bumps into the doppelgängar himself. This is the beginning of the Y-High School arc, but not before the remains of "Mazera" appears in the schoolyard, while being the prelude to a whole new threat.

Jijin tells Miho that their boy has just been born, and for his sake, to pull herself together. Miho wishes that she could do the same, and behind his dad, newborn Jinpei sleeps in a bed.

Miho tells Jinjin that she needs to see Jinpei, then Jinjin holds newborn Jinpei in his arms and shows him to Miho. Miho tells newborn Jinpei how glad she is that she brought life to him with tears streaming down her face, then Miho quietly closes her eyes, and holding Jinpei in his arms, Jinjin continues to shout Miho's name. On the hospital rooftop, Jinjin vows to Miho that he'll raise Jinpei properly, and thanks Jinpei for being born. With his dad's strong smile, Jinpei responds, which lifts Jinjin's spirits.

Present day, Mataro rushes into the YSP club with his blood rushing. He said that on his way to school, he saw somebody who looked exactly like Jinpei with a ghost cat by his side. Mataro said that he was so scared that he thought it might be Jinpei's doppelgängar. Jinpei was completely unfazed and said that he was hungry, so he went out into the hallway to buy Shrimp Mayo Vermicelli Dumpling Buns. On his way, Jinpei bumps into a green-haired boy who appeared out of nowhere, and the boy looked just like Jinpei.

Jinpei shouts out "It's you, my doppelgängar.", and the boy responds with "Jinpei Jiba?". Jinpei was surprised that the boy knew who he was, and the boy reassures that he's not a doppelgängar, but that he happened to look a little like Jinpei with his face and hair. The boy then introduces himself as Lime Ashiya, which Jinpei remarks that he's never seen him before. He asks that if he's a transfer student, then Lime informs him that he's a high school student. However, although Lime's a high school student, his physique is exactly the same as Jinpei's, who's a middle school student.

Lime says that he skipped a grade and went straight into high school, and he's borrowing a middle school uniform to keep a low profile and is being allowed to tour the middle school. Lime suggested that Jinpei should tell him about himself, because he'll do the same. Then, the YSP members arrived, and the mysterious green cat spirit appeared. Terramin tells Lime that she's back, and reports to him that she found what they were looking for. Chiaki notes how the cat-type seems to be very common, and Lime's surprised that the YSP members can see Terramin.

Sandayu asks Lime why a high school student is at Y-Academy, and Ranto mentions that the high school is far to the north, and today, they bring a message to the headmaster of the middle school. And that while he was there, Ranto was given a tour of the high school, then Jinpei says that they'll take Lime to the headmaster, and both Lime and Terramin smile and thank them. In the Zenzen Pre-Life Elucidation Club, "I don't want to see my past life, I want to see my childhood." says a seated Ranto, which Zen comments on how that's an unusual order.

Ranto asks if he can do it, then Zen assures him that he can and asks why he would want to, and Ranto said that he wants to change. Images from Ranto's memory of his mom, dad and Marina gathered in the Kirigakure house. A young Ranto says goodbye to his parents and Marina, that he's going to move forward with his friends, and says that this is goodbye. Ranto has returned from his memory, and tears spill from his eyes. The YSP members meet up with Lime outside the school and Noz has joined them.

Lime shows up and in a white uniform, and said that the cool uniform is the high school uniform. As they show him around the school, they go to the second year hallway where Mera and Ryusuke are bickering with each other. Nozu said that he didn't think the high school was real, then Chiaki said that he heard about it, but didn't even know where it was, and Sandayu mentions that the existence of the high school was on the verge of becoming an urban legend. Then in the next moment, the ground begins to shake.

And looking out the window, they saw flames of explosions coming from the monorail overpass in the distance. One after another, explosions occurred, then a strange red creature appeared. The creature, Myuze, says that now that his body is finally big enough to move, he's going to have some fun. Jinpei and friends confirm the presence of Myuze from inside the school, then Fubuki says that it feels like Mazera, and Ranto says that Mazera was supposed to been have defeated and that things aren't over yet.

Nozu wonders if they're same in spirit or if they're someone else entirely, then Jinpei's earpiece receives an incoming call, and Ms. Enra tells him to come to the headmaster's office immediately and they'll work out a plan. The members rush to the headmaster's office, leaving Lime all by himself. In the headmaster's office, Kinya is impatient as the school buildings are destroyed one after another, and Nayu informs them that Mazera has gained a new form. Rant is impatient, and wondering if there are others like that.

Kuka investigates and says that he's the only 1 who's reacted to the aliens, then Ms. Enra says that he is the last alien to threaten the Earth, and Zazel notices that he has some pretty mighty power. Enmadai insists that they defeat him at all costs, then Jinpei said to get it over with as the headmaster's office shook, and the creature rushed into the room. Ranto says to save him the trouble of fighting, then Myuze says that got his strength from his father, Mazera, which is why he's strong.

Ranto overheard Kinya saying that it's not a good idea to fight in there, that they have to let him out when they transform, and Jinpei transforms into Earth Walker NOA. Or he would like to, but the watch states that the Yo-kai in question is either out of radio range, or doesn't exist in this world. If he can't use Mikettio, then Jinpei'll turn into Kengo Benimaru, then Ranto transforms into DS Zodiac, and all the YSP members transformed.

Mataro with his medal, was also equipped with his watch, wanted to join in. Then remembers that with T-Dus gone, he can't transform anymore. Mataro quickly regained his composure, and said that all he can do is support them as much as he can. Mataro arrives where the heroes outside the school building, and all the heroes attack Myuze at once, but he's surprisingly fast and none of them can match him. Myuze seems to be serious business, and unleashes a shockwave that caused all the members to detransform.

Mataro was a bit frightened that the enemy is too strong, then Lime and Terramin come rushing in, and Jinpei assures Lime that he can't do it. Lime asks him what he's talking about as he's older than him, then Jinpei says that if he's older that he can't fight if he can't transform, and Lime asks who said that he can't transform. Lime says that it seems that they've lost a lot of power after the big fight, and that with his watch, that Jinpei isn't reaching his full potential.

Lime showed off a watch that they've never seen before, and says that it's most powerful watch on the market, even more powerful than Jinpei's. He then merged with Terramin and transformed into Asura Gilfer, then says that Y-Academy's now entering a new phase of development, and that he doesn't want any aliens in his life anymore. Jinpei and the others are surprised to know that Lime can transform, then Ashura Gilfer defeated Myuze with "Fujiyama Strike", and Ranto noted that the high schoolers can also transform into Yo-kai Heroes.

Ranto asks Lime that if he has the kind of same power as them, or that it's a different kind of power. Lime says that he can't go into the details, then says that it's okay because Mazera's body has been destroyed, and Ranto asks him how would he know. Lime says it's because he's older than them, then Chiaki asks if the school isn't in danger anymore, and Jinpei suggests to go out for some good food and to celebrate. As everyone was in a good mood, a large number of armored vehicles rushed toward them from the forested area in the northern part of Y-Academy.

The members were surprised, while Fubuki was impressed, then Ranto asks what's this, and Lime says that he negotiated with the headmaster. He says that the negotiations been broken, then emerging from 1 of the armored car was a rugged high school student. A flashback with Lime and Kinya in the headmaster's office, Kinya says that this is something he can't agree to, no matter how much the higher authorities demand it, and Lime says that they have no choice but to use force.

Back to present day, the high schooler introduces himself as Suguru Gomanda, the student council president of Y-High School, then says that it's clear that the middle school is degrading the dignity of the venerable Y-Academy, and says that Y-High School demands Y-Academy total expulsion. All the members were astonished by the unexpected request.
