Etymology[]

  • Yellskitchen can be seen as a combination of Yell and Kitchen. Although it heavily appears to be a pun on Gordon Ramsay's popular reality TV cooking competition show, Hell's Kitchen.
  • Yatsuzaki can be translated to tearing apart or cutting to pieces, with the last "ki" being spelled with the kanji for "Oni".
  • "Masterceffo" is a combination of the cooking show MasterChef (coincidentally also hosted by Ramsay) and "brutto ceffo" which means 'an intimidating person'.
  • Chef Ricote can be translated to Delicious Chef. It is also a reference to Alberto Chicote, who hosts Top Chef in Spain, and sprouts a similar personality to Ramsay.

Trivia[]

  • While the icon for Yo-kai Watch 3 and Yo-kai Watch Busters 2 only shows his chest face, Yo-kai Watch: Wibble Wobble shows his left head instead.
