Yo-kai Exercise No. 1 (Japanese: ようかい体操第一, Youkai Taisou Dai-Ichi) is the first ending theme for the Yo-kai Watch anime, which was performed by Dream5. This ending theme is one of the most popular Yo-kai Watch songs, setting a standard for dance routine-based ending themes.

The song was later covered by King Cream Soda as Yo-kai Exercise No. 1: Gegege no Kitaro ver. (Japanese: ようかい体操第一 ゲゲゲの鬼太郎Ver., Youkai Taisou Dai-Ichi Gegege no Kitarou ver.), for the ending theme of M04, and for the staff roll of Yo-kai Watch 4, the latter being performed by alom.

Overview

The song features a dance pattern that is reminiscent of the morning Japanese radio gymnastics, an activity that has been used throughout Japan as a way of exercise. The lyrics are themed after occurrences Yo-kai cause, thus blaming them in the end for their problems. Alongside the Gera Gera Po Song, it has become one of the well-known Yo-kai Watch songs, especially at the time when the franchise was popular. It had also encouraged people to make dance covers of the song.

It originally first appeared in Yo-kai Taiso Dai-ichi Puzzle da nyan, which was released after the original video game came out in 2013 and before the anime series debuted at the beginning of 2014 in Japan, before eventually being used as the ending theme to Yo-kai Watch 4. Due to the popularity, it has gone on to appear in Yo-kai Watch Dance: Just Dance Special Version and other games such as Taiko no Tatsujin Kimidori.

There have been several successors of the song, which are of Yo-kai Exercise No. 1 ~Continue~ used in the Yo-kai Watch! series and Yo-kai Taiso, which is used in the Yo-kai Watch series. It also also received a "sequel" called Yo-kai Taiso Dai-ni. The bonus track on the single for the former includes a cover of the original song plus the continuation, racking up to a total of eight verses.

• This full video of the song is the most-viewed official Yo-kai Watch upload on YouTube, where it has millions of views.
• A earlier English version with different lyrics can be briefly heard in a Hasbro promotional video about Yo-kai Watch's franchise plans in America, which originally was shown at the Level-5 Vision Event at April 2015 in Japan.
  • It was later performed at Moshi Moshi Nippon LA event in August 2015 to promote the debut of the Yo-kai Watch brand in America, before the anime's eventual premiere and release of the video game and manga series in November.
• This ending has been dubbed into over thirty-three different languages, making it the most-translated song. The second is Yo-kai Watch feat. Swampy Marsh.
• Sproink is the only character who does not appear in the full version.
• This was originally the most-used ending theme for 24 episodes, tying with Don-Don-Dooby-Zoo-Bah!, before Oyasumi Sanka from Yo-kai Watch Shadowside broke the record and eventually Yo-kai Exercise No. 1 ~Continue~, which was used for 36 episodes.
• In the Arabic dub, the scenes of Sproink were removed due to Islamic censorship laws, where the scene from the beginning is repeated when appears and was replaced by a compilation of animated scenes from the anime series.
